Is that a bubble level on the carrying handle? If so, why is it there?The familiar JZ-CX aftermarket upper and cheek riser in FDE.

To this day, I never understand why Norinco or anyone has created a replacement T shaped charging handle that extends to the left and right of the receiver (for ambidextrous use). Doing then means they can lower shooter’s profile by having the scope rail mount be a lot lower. Guess they just really wanted the FAMAS look of the gun.The familiar JZ-CX aftermarket upper and cheek riser in FDE.
To even take full advantage of that would require chopping down the front and rear sight posts, an unnacceptable modification for any Chinese unit. Keep in mind there's only a single known unit in the entire PLA allowed to even paint their weapons for camouflage LOL

It seems like the equipment of the soldiers in the special administrative regions is better.
