To this day, I never understand why Norinco or anyone has created a replacement T shaped charging handle that extends to the left and right of the receiver (for ambidextrous use). Doing then means they can lower shooter’s profile by having the scope rail mount be a lot lower. To even take full advantage of that would require chopping down the front and rear sight posts, an unnacceptable modification for any Chinese unit.
