Interesting that it can be used against air launched ATGM.
I thought it was an air launched rpg? Did they demonstrate against ATGM in this test case?
ATGMs fly at the same speed as RPG7. In fact most wire guided ATGMs are slower than RPG7 iirc. The test is just to demonstrate the APS' ability to tilt and deal with projectiles designed for top attack like Javelin.
I'm guessing they could easily test it against a HJ-10 and HJ-12. The RPGs just fly faster, making them arguably more difficult to intercept for an APS compared to any ATGM used by militaries around the world.
Although we don't know what's the maximum speed of interception of the GL6 APS is, we do have an idea of what western APS systems are capable of. For example, Iron Fist has under testing conditions, been able to intercept a 120mm APFSDS. The highest of the bunch here, the Vikhr maxes at 600m/s. Even being conservative, GL6 should be easily able to intercept such threat.First of all the ATGM has bigger residual penetration of the cumulative jet after warhead explosion on the air, than the RPG.

Then air launched ATGMs have higher speed than RPGs.
- Vikhr - 600 m/sec
- Ataka - 550 m/sec
- Hellfire - 440 m/sec
- TOW ~ 300 m/sec
- RPG-7 - 120-150m/sec
Swap out the 12.7mm machine gun with a shot gun, guide it with the same radar as the interceptors. What I'm more interested in, is if such a system has a minimum interception speed. An FPV drone with a rpg warhead attached is far far slower than a RPG-7. I wonder if GL6 has the capability to intercept slower FPV and or loitering munitions.
This guy is obviously pro-American, even if it's you making it, air soft individuals cannot understand and communicate this effectively or trustworthily. Even IF it is comparably good to most stuff online.PLA Combined-Arms Battalion Doctrinal templates Assessment

RPG-7 travels around 300m/sec. Also, the RPG was fired at much closer ranges than those ATGMs operate at which makes it harder for APS to react.First of all the ATGM has bigger residual penetration of the cumulative jet after warhead explosion on the air, than the RPG.

My point is that based on the video we can't tell that it's the same effective against ATGMs.Although we don't know what's the maximum speed of interception of the GL6 APS is, we do have an idea of what western APS systems are capable of.
