If this is how the Americans are going to treat Chinese athletes now then who knows what happens in 2028 Olympics in LA. If the geopolitical situation worsens with Trump and the far-right anti-China regime in power, China might even boycott the 2028 Olympics. BRICS should form its own sports games and give an invite to all countries that want to participate. Whoever wants to come will come. Start off small and it will grow over time.

BRICS should absolutely do this. The fact that @getready can't possibly imagine the US planting "evidence" or rigging test results proves that even among the pro-China crowd, there are a lot of summer children that do not understand how the game is really played in politics and intelligence. If the Olympics are unwilling to defend China's rights, China needs to de-legitimize the Olympics and cultivate a new alternative. Complete and total Chinese sanctions against the Olympics and ALL of their suppliers/contractors is a starting point.

LA Olympic Village are going to be tents along skid row for the authentic low carbon footprint experience. Fentanyl handouts and Glock 17 for every athlete.
I think it's more likely they'll scatter the Olympic athletes across the existing hotels and have them source food from local restaurants rather than a centralized cafeteria. The sporting events would take place at existing facilities instead of anything new. The hilarious thing is it would still be a VASTLY superior experience to Paris with a more secure food supply, obvious security concerns notwithstanding.
