Weeeelllll now everyone at work knows I'm watching the Olympics. When Pan won gold and blew out the world record, both the announcers screamed so hard before I could mute the volume my coworkers came to check on me. How loud was it? I'm sitting in my office with my door closed.

Not a peep out of my mouth. Just 1 swimming gold and 2 men's gymnastics gold losses due to mistakes are wayyyy below expectation. I'm not even smiling. At this point, Pan could have flew out the water in the last 25m and I'd still look like the Mckayla Maroney meme.

Keep it up, USA cheatin' fucks. When China passes you up in the Superpower race and you finally admit defeat thinking a kind smile and submissive "good game" handshake will smooth things over, don't wonder why we have to come after and destroy everything you ever loved.

I knew it. If I didn’t watch the race live, China gets gold. And the WR !

Props to Pan Zhanle. He is swimming in a lot of relays this Olympic too. Wise decision to skip the 200m. That WR must be worth billion in gold. This is the blue ribbon event in swimming. Plus it’s proven to be so hard to break the WR in this pool, by doing so in a huge margin is crazy!
feck the western media. Feck you assholes. Feck you Aussie scumsbags trying to smear the Chinese swimmers

Have to say, that French dude is outstanding though. He just won the butterfly and breaststroke events, and on same day. it’s unheard of to even win both those events at the highest level. To do that on same day is simply nuts. I wonder if Qin wasn’t off form, how different it would be. Well at least the whiny Aussie ZCS didn’t win

Amazing race by Pan, to break his own world record and finish more than a second ahead of the next closest competitor in a mere 100m race is astonishing. That Kyle Chalmers finished 2nd is also remarkable considering he was last at the turn after a poor start.

There has definitely been disappointment in swimming, particularly Qin Haiyang's performance. But in men's gymnastics, the odds had always favored Japan for gold in both the team and all around. China getting silver (not to mention also bronze) in the individual all around is already better than expected.
