i forgot he took gold there. I guess cuz a few strong swimmers didn’t participate including Qin. Shows that his training program is excellent allowing him to peak in the world championship and in Olympics. Hopefully he can perform his best in the final. doesn’t matter if he medals as long he can give it his best shot and do a PB.
How is his 100m ? I dun remember him doing well in this distance so I doubt they will use him in the relays. maybe replace him with Sun if Qin is unwell.

This Olympics is going be best remembered as either the olympics that had a convicted child rapist playing for his country in volleyball, covid in the pool or triathletes ingesting literally shit river water. The Indians should do well though.

Probably has something to do with Russians having lost their position in this sport. The Russian performers were more artistic. When they were dominating the floor, everyone followed. Their influence has run its course. Now the wind has changed. The players are now judged by their strength more.

China, North Korea, and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea dominating table tennis.
Beginning to think Qin Haiyang is either sick or just not mentally not prepared for the big stages.
Right now China is disappointing when it comes to gold medals. But on average it has way more swimmers in finals events that it didn't have before and even medals in events it did not have before.

Best get some good sleep tonight guys, July 31 is going to be a big day for China. Has high probability to get gold in 3 events. Diving, mens gymnastics all around, and mens 100m freestyle. Another nerve racking day of waiting/watching for results.
If all goes well China can get 3 golds in mens gymnastics. Check out the scores of all the events during qualifying. China led in all around, rings, and parallel bars.

For all the disappointment, heartaches, frustrations, and feeling of being cheated especially China's swim team (due to the insane amount of test) have some real solace from the fact that we're not South Korea right now. The level of disrespect they're getting is just insane: from being misidentified as North Korea, to their flag being shown as China's flag, to then South Africa.

When Qin Haiyang broke the world record in 200m breast in Fukuoka, Dong Zihao was 4th place and broke the world junior record at the same time. So Dong Zihao already has some experience at big events. Maybe has can surprise the competition when all the attention was on Qin Haiyang.
