The West has created a Cold War scandal at the Olympics by accusing Chinese swimmers of doping their way to victory.

Now the World Anti-Doping Agency just revealed how US ATHLETES have competed for years in violation of doping rules with the help of the U.S. anti-doping agency.

This is a typical case of China being accused of, without evidence, the very thing the U.S. does regularly. And it’s not about sports or competition. It’s about the U.S. losing its grip on global power and wanting to denigrate Chinese achievements in order to hold onto what’s left of its hegemony.

But it will fail, because the world is sick and tired of an empire predicated on endless war and exploitation, one that is a sore loser at that.

I'm doing my part. Facebook is recommending a ton of posts regarding the Olympics and/or Pan's races. Whever I see an Anglo garbage say anything about Chinese doping, I spam him up with these 3 links, and they never have anything to say back worth a shit even when I see them making multiple posts arguing against other members. I must have shared these 3 links over 100 times just yesterday Facebooking on my phone before falling asleep. I'm gonna spread this as many times as I can and I'm never ever letting an American say jack shit about Chinese doping without making him eat and shit out and eat back again these 3 articles repeatedly. I don't care if no investigations or disqualifications ever come of it; I don't care if 30 years pass without another incident. These articles will forever define American sports for me and I am never going to let them live this down.

I'm just not seeing the offensive part and I did open your link to read it. Pretty much everything the Japanese did in WWII was horrible and wrong. But when the US navy was advancing on Japan, the actions of these pilots to sacrifice their lives in defense of their homeland was heroic. Or else, what is a young man to do when his country is on the verge of destruction? I only hope that China's young men are this brave should they ever need to be. From their letters, they did not die with thoughts of slaughtering or raping civilians or conquering lands; they died with thoughts of providing a final service to their country and their families. These are the actions of the best of the best in young men; to disagree would be to assert that those who turn their backs on their homes and flee are in the right. The museum focuses on this one aspect of Japan's fight, the part where they fought defensively with vulnerability and fear rather than with the predatory intent that characterized their invasion of Asia. If that is all this museum is about, I would have to disagree with even China's assessment.
The problem is not with those individuals. The problem is the institution they belongs to, which is the Imperial Japanese Army. The institution that initiated the invasion of China, raped, mutilated, experimented on, and massacred Chinese people. Anything that commemorates that institution should be condemned.

I did not realize that it commemorated said institution; I thought the museum was dedicated purely to the courage and spirit of the individual Kamikaze pilots who willingly died in defense of their nation. I thought that using those letters to humanize those individuals represented the epitome of the museum's mission. Obviously, if it made the imperial Japanese army look like it was waging a righteous war, then it deserves stern condemnation.

Yeah, you tend to walk past a random shrine in Japan that looks great, 5 star reviews on google all round by Western tourists who don't speak the language, go inside and see a bunch of war glorification stuff. Happened to me in Tokyo and I never walked out of anything faster. Japanese in general seem to be apathetic to WW2 history, allowing the right-wing elements to sneak in stuff like that all over the country with no pushback.

One of my buddies visited Yasukuni Shrine many years ago. The descriptions of the Japanese actions in WWII are total whitewash. The Japs played stupid word games like they “entered” China instead of “invaded”. You can find more examples on Chinese internet.

On top of the whitewashing, i believe humanizing the people of an institution has the effect of lessening the crimes committed by the institution.

For once, Palki Sharma is upset about India's performance in the Olympics. For once, no blame gaming on China this time. But she's still wrong on what China did in the Olympics. Thinking that China was focusing on "unknown sports". Nope, China also excelled at swimming this time, a well-known sport dominated by the Americans. Try harder, you Jai Hind.

Will she be able to rally her nation to do better in the Olympics? Naah... the Jai Hinds will forget about this and go back to doing what they do best. They'll go back to Cricket for awhile and then its back to Jai Hind Supapowar Bharat again.

Comments are golden though:

Indians really are something. Like they talk crap about ping pong and badminton. Yet why did their 2024 flag bearers come from these sports? Because it's these two "unknown sports" that they have a chance of actually getting medals. Without badminton, in 2016 India would have 1 (one) bronze medal only. They are not in a position to be choosing.

It pisses me off. They think they are the same as western whites yet have done nothing to take away any medals from them because they just have no chance in those sports. You're not going to see Indians take medals in swimming, cycling , canoeing or horse riding. They spend more effort trying to take medals from asian sports they crap on. As far as I'm concerned, they are just tools for the west where they try to take medals from China since they have no chance of taking it from the west. People call HK a bunch western worshippers but they literally took away two golds from the west in fencing which made them seethe like hell.
