I learned that our dear Modi ji is bidding for the 2036 Olympics. A country with 1.4 billion people without a single gold medal is hosting the Olympics .... Good luck to them.
India is going to be a failed state in 2036 with nearly 2 billion people - I don't even dare to imagine the smell. Conversely, I want to see Chengdu/Chongqing win the 2036 bid. That's when you will see China reaching the next level of development, inching towards becoming a developed country. We'll see Gen Alpha Chinese kids grow up to dominate all the sports.

Seoul is also bidding. India has to do a successful Asian Games before they can think about getting votes. The scale and complexity is much greater than the Asian Games Delhi did in 1982 and people's memory of the Commonwealth Games fiasco is still fresh. I think this is just post-Olympics Indian rant which they will soon forget.

Chengdu will be ideal, loved the place, so vibrant aside from good food , beautiful women what more can you ask for. ;)

Dunno why the need to talk about India while we are competing with the whole west. Putting China and India together is kinda humiliates China.

India does seem to live rent-free in the heads of a lot of folks here.

Folks should chill out instead with B-Girls 671 and India at the semifinal of the 2022 Red Bull BC One World Championship:

India was victorious on that occasion, but when they faced off again in the Bronze medal match a few days ago, 671 took home the prize for China.

I think Xi'an would be a better choice. However, I see it more likely that China will bid for the next Continental Rotation in the 2040's like 2048(?) 2008 was the emergence of China, 2048 is close to PRC's 100th Anniversary and a strong statement that China has arrived at the top.

In the meantime, maybe a Harbin Winter Olympics.

Indians live rent free in many peoples head because they have a unique ability to be that obnoxious. If they keep this up they will be like Dr Manhattan who managed to bring world peace by bringing every country together just to hate on him.

No. WADA testing data: Chinese positive percentage 0.2% in over 19K tests; US positive percentage 1.2% in under 7K tests. Chinese medical drug exemptions: <10; American medical drug exemptions: 390. The US is clearly the drug cheat trying to project its evils onto others. And what you said is a very American tactic of accusing others of doping but the second the data becomes clear that it's actually the US doping instead, the narrative becomes, "OK ok, let's not point fingers because everybody dopes! You dope, he dopes, she dopes, I [cough] dope... a little... very little... but YOU dope and they all dope so let's just forget about it cus we all do it!" No. Just the US. Purple Potato Asthma swim team, ADHD gymnastics team, asking WADA to not disclose American champions who fail drug tests because that would be a danger to their lives??!! It's all American dirty ass shit.
These elite level athletes all use PEDs during off season, training, etc... How do you train several hours per day, everyday, 7 days a week without using PEDs. How do you ensure max muscle recovery, or recover from injuries while training at this level without using some kind of PEDs. Phelps said he was spending 8 hours in the pool every day leading up to the olympics.

I look at weight lifters for example. Those that are natural train 1-2 days and then take 1-2 days off. The body needs at least that much time to recover (50% of the gains come from good sleep, rest, nutrition).

Those that are on PEDs can lift everyday, 7 days a week. When your competitions are resting, you are training.
