Oops ,sorry for getting ahead of myself there. Didn't realise that there's another round to go. Hope the Chinese improved their positions tomorrow.

Your table is wrong. US is number one due to having most total medals. And if they ever end up in a situation where they have the most golds but not the most total medals, then obviously US is also number one and table should be sorted by number of golds rather than total medals. If you haven't noticed yet, I have a deep burning loathing of their hypocrisy, cheating, projection, framing, sabotage, double standards, and shamelessness. Truly the most loathsome in the world.

And if China ever have more gold and overall medals. They probably use per medals to population size. Then if China still tops them. They'll use "only democratic countries count".

The silver and bronze medals started one of the US olympics ages ago. I always thought that the olympic ideal is to be the best of the best, as it was in the ancient olympics where there was only one winner.

Yes, aren't the US retarded? How many silvers or bronzes would an athlete give up, in an exchange for a gold? That'll tell us how much is a gold worth more than the other medals.

LOL it looks more like geopolitics in quantitative analysis.

US and China are trading places.

Australia straddles between US and China. So far so good - it gets the best of both worlds.

France is the host - what can I say?

GB is a traditional power - it is getting old but never dies.

SK has been fighting its way up against JP in all walks of life.

Italy is stronger than it looks.

Netherlands is always underrated. They are alway bad-ass.

Germany - what can I say - you have been disappointing me ---

The rest of the world please enjoy Paris while it is still in peace
