Realistically was China the favorites to win the 4x100m freestyle relays or was it always US/Aus?

I wonder which swimming ones they can they get gold in.

China still has the capability to do well in mens and womens 4x200m relays, medley relays and mixed relay.

Especially, the mens medley relay, they set the 2nd fastest all-time in 2023 Asian games. If you factor in Zhang Yufei in womens butterfly, they are competitive in mixed relay.

Another swimmer Tang Qianting who a few months ago, swam the womens breast 100m with a time of 1min 4.39s at the Chinese national championships. The current world record is 1min 4.13s. Now, do you select Tang Qianting or Qin Haiyang for breast for the mixed relay?

What a nailbiter! Xie Yu wins the men's 10m air pistol gold after chasing 2 Italians who led the whole way! Amazing competition that had my heart racing. This is all about having nerves of steel and Xie Yu had them! Dude is 24 looks 46, and has a perptual scowl on his face that makes Professor Oak look like a clown!

I was watching this match and it was really exciting. He was constantly 2-3 at the start and overtook the Italians at the end.
