if we dig even further we can go back to the Cambrian Explosion or why not the Planck Epoch while we are at it...

is this u??

I'm pretty sure China was reasonably equal to Europe prior to the industrial revolution. The Japanese on the other hand didn't miss out on the industrial revolution.

This is why the United States government war against Huawei is more or less a futile exercise.

The only thing certain, is that the restrictions could slow Huawei down, but in no way will that stop Huawei, nor will leadership in the 5G space will change in this world.

Look at the news. The United States government announces more sanctions against Hauwei, when the same day the news is reported that Shenzhen has completed a stand alone 5G network for the entire city. Remember where Huawei is based.

Lol. Not long ago i thought China and its supporters are pretty naturally HIGH on their achievements like 5G, AI, big data, highspeed rail. Lmao
I like how China selectively choose to focus on tech that they can do and bypass those deemed too hard for them.

The path of least resistance. Law of Physics.

Where's the joke? China and its supporters are still proud of all those advances (all of which are still world-leading) and the speed at which they were achieved, but it doesn't mean that it's time to rest nor did it ever. The Chinese are working hard to expand that growing list and will soon be adding lithography to it, and so on. China's command of technology is already massive as a single country and will only rise compared to the West and the US; the feeling is no different now than it was before Huawei was ever sanctioned.

It's not which tech is too hard; it's which tech seemed economically sensible at the time with the global landscape. But every time China needed to make its own tech, no matter how hard, it was done and in record time.

Watch, the same voices in the Liberal media will say something to disregard that 5G stand alone network in Shenzhen, maybe some of those voices exists in this forum too? LOL!

This is an important point. People either come to the forum, any forum, for propaganda or the truth.

With the truth, we can learn something.

With propaganda, what can we learn? Learn to bs? If you wanna bs, just get into politics or law school.

:p

Well no one country dominates the semiconductor sector anyways. So what's your point?

Does Intel fab it's own 7nm chips? Does TSMC make it's own EUV machine, does ASML make its own lenses?

You mean only high tech left is semiconductor sector since China pretty much conquers everything else.

Quite a few areas to improve on, but Chinese are proud of China's progress in such little time. Indians can only watch from afar and troll on Chinese made phones and computers.

I look at Indian forums and many express sense of hopelessness. Chinese will never stop in tech. We're just as capable as anyone else.
