If you can just buy an inhaler from your local pharmacy, thats already easier then going to a vaccination place and wait in line to get jabbed and have a sore shoulder for a day or two..

All that is really missing is a some pill that will stop the progress of covid once infected than i'm sure China is ready to open up again and wind down Zero covid.

Alibaba Cloud's Panjiu-M server and Yitian-710 chips have passed the certification testing for PCI Express 5. PCIe 5 supports much higher bandwidth and speed compared to PCIe 4.0. Claims to be the firs tot have done so. Yitian-710 is developed by Alibaba's semiconductor arm Pingtouge.

Panjiu-M supports DDR5, with 50% wider bandwidth vs DDR2. Transmission speed doubles from 16 GT/s in PCIe 4 to 32 GT/s in PCIe 5. Throughput of Panjiu-M can reach 128 GB/s.

Also form Alibaba, they are doing a huge expansion of the Feitian intelligence computing platform, increasing the AI training throughput by 11 fold to 12 EFLOPS (Google is at 9 EFLOPS by comparison)

not surprising, one of them is reported to be Yancheng that signed deal with Baidu smart cloud/Kunlun chips to build a 200 P data center (I'm assuming that's 200 PFLOPS of FP16).
Which would work to require 200 of the R480-X8 AI accelerator card (1600 Kunlun-2 chips). These are springing up everywhere. Be interesting to see how many of these can be captured by Chinese players.

I for one am glad that despite its stunning success, China is still looking for weaknesses in its system. Can't say the same for the "End of History and the Last Man" nations.

If Chinese could make statements like this, imagine how dire the post-industrialized nations are in this situation.
