Using RAM on aircraft isn't a universal remedy. It costs a lot of maintenance hours, after every flight you have to remake the coating since you are in dimensions were every small rabble makes a significant increase in RCS. That's very expensiv.
The stated 1m² RCS for the flanker may be true or not. But that will be the optimum; frontal on a "clean" aircraft. Everything it carries on it's hardpoints will again singificantly increase it's RCS from all aspects.

Chengdu Super-10

Discussion of the Chengdu Super-10 is not really present in most forums, and mostly the discussion is brief. This forum will be, to discuss the Chengdu Super-10. Discussion about its more powerful engine, thrust-vector control, stronger airframe, movable canard and passive phased-array radar. Firstly shouldn't the new aircraft have and internal weapons bay as external weapon attachment to the wings will compromise the fighters stealth signature.:china:

Chengdu I have a better idea why don't we talk about the Super Gripen. If it is made it will be such a great plane. Surely somewhat in the Super-10 line.

There is already a topic on J-10, no need to create another one just for this "super-10". The idea was pretty much just a Russian one anyhow. Other than the increased thrust with TVC, everything else was disspelt as a proposal by Mikoyan.

There are basically two stages in my opinion:
1) using WS-10A (which has higher thrust and T/W ratio) than AL-31FN, have improved avionics, use AESA radar, more strengthened airframe. This will keep mostly the existing J-10 layout, but just keeps on improving the material used + use a better engine + upgraded radar
2) the really modified J-10 - they mentionned twin-engine J-10 on Chinese forums. Whether or not that is true, I'd expect more composite material used, possibly internal weapon bay, an airframe with lower RCS + the improved engine and radar/avionics.

About the twin engined J-10 aka Super J-10 it is more likely that this project will evoleve further for the J-XX project.

Re: Chengdu Super-10

The PLAAF should have something like a B2 design but still having aspects of the J-10 put into it

Underneath the cockpit and sitting above the air inletts are strutts connecting between them. This has always been bothering me wouldn't that gap in the middle add friction and thus reducing its aerodynamics? Why dont they connect the airinlets to the bottom of the cockpit (smooth it out)?

It serves an aerodynamic purpose. Rather than have air pressure build up between the intake plate and the bottom of that fuselage, it is allowed to leak sideways. The struts are there to break that incoming airflow.

By the way, the J-10 is not the only aircraft in the world to have this feature. Check closely at the MiG 1.44. That's probably where the idea came from.

Note the red parts near on "top" of the inlet. These are actually covering some bypass openings near the intake. If the diverter plate is fully up, it opens those holes, allowing the air to bleed through them, and reduce pressure build up inside the intake.

How many J-10B does the PLAAF have in its inventory? And does the PLAAF 3rd Air Division have a full regiment of J-10B's yet?
