TS - Top Secret, it is actually an official abbreviation used by DoD.

Let's get serious. Just because it was listed on DoD's website as an acronym doesn't mean you can use it freely. What about the other listed acronyms?

Use some common sense next time you want to outsmart someone with some uncommon acronyms.

[Back to the original topic]: If you have it and want contribute by translating it, then do so.

I suspect that if szbd got a copy from he web site then enough other people have a copy that it's not really a secret anymore.

You also have to figure that U.S. intelligence must have informants fairly close to SAC. If a such a report has been circulating widely enough that somebody posted it (it would probably be somebody at a fairly low level) then the U.S. probably had a copy already.

There are lots of levels of "secret". It would be amazing if the really secret stuff made it onto the web.

... Ami.

I highly doubt the US has that many informants in China except maybe ones that lie either by design or for personal gain. The spy game is highly different from that of the movies. I know some people get upset when I mention this because Hollywood makes the intelligence game such a perfect operation but in reality is quite boring and most of the time spent on wild goose chases. If there were agents/informants passing information to the US then we wouldn't hear the complaining for China to be transparent which is a sign that intelligence is not that good in that regard.

Do you have more information on the guy who leaked information? Did he get arrested or lose his job? How did you come across this leak and get a copy of it?

No news about the guy, rumor says national security guy invited him for some tea. The report was on his blog and happened to be seen by somebody and posted on Chinese forums. I was about to post it here then found out the Chinese forums deleted the report.

That article can be found on oversea forums, e.g. WMF

Let me give you guys a quick translation:

the human resource department organised a trip to SAC and listened to SAC's report on what they have been doing in the last 20 years (What a surprise:), I guess the HR department was relocated from Mars to Earth recently). And the author, (I suppose this Mr Cui is a HR staff), wrote down details on tech stuff like the pro and cons of Canard design (Another surprise, the most techy HR person I've ever seen). Then he briefly talked about SAC's Jxx project, called XueE, which is just a moderately modified Flanker plus canards. Of course he also mentioned about J15 carrier based flanker and an Anti-Stealth UCAV joint project with Russia (WTF is Anit-Stealth UCAV?)

This is it. Have I missed any interesting points? (I omitted 99.9% of the article because I find them boring.)

It sounds quite a letdown if the much awaited J-XX only ends up being a modded Flanker with canards instead of a true fifth generation design.

This appeared on the Chinese websites as "Xue E" -- Snow Swan

Are you sure its not a hoax?

Nonetheless, it has a very interesting aerodynamic design, not something an amateur would simply dream up without some extensive understanding of aerodynamics.

The current exhaust design is a disappointment. You would think they would try to something about thermal signature reduction.

Uh, I bet US has a ton of informants in China. Of course most Chinese people, even the corrupt ones don't wish the Chinese to lose any future wars to the US or Taiwan. But people are corrupt and driven by money nowdays in China, you'd be surprised by how many top officials are getting paychecks from foreign governments.

Even back in the old days, there were high profile defectors. Ever heard about the son of Nanjiang MR caughting defecting to Taiwan? When they asked him what punishment his son should receive, he simply said, "bullet to the head."
