BYD needs to introduce U8 as a battery EV (BEV) with electric motors only to the European market, as well as an extended range EV (EREV) with ICE.

Xpeng plans to hire 4,000 people and invest US$500 million in artificial intelligence​

According to media reports, Xpeng Motors plans to recruit 4,000 new employees and invest in artificial intelligence technology.
