I don't think this NIO will survive for long.My guess? A bunch of Shanghai-type hanjian shitlibs making decisions.

Well, the central government will have to make a harsh decisions at one point and let some of this state owned auto companies go. They can't carry on like that forever. 10 years from now when EVs will be the main and only cars in China, only the most innovative, competitive and advanced car makers will be in business . So the earlier they cut their losses the better. These startups are fine. Plenty of foreign capital for them towastespend
The big issue is the all the SOEs (Changan, Dongfeng, FAW, GAC, SAIC/Wuling) and larger private co like Geely, GWM. It's a race to the bottom because each region only wants to support their own company so none of them can rise up and dominate nationally. China easily has the scale to accommodate another BYD, but the fragmentation makes it impossible.
Idk if it's related, but if you look at where BYD builds its factories, it seems like they're avoiding all the provinces/cities that have their own car companies

Is there any indication that the Chinese market will expand to 36 million per year? That's almost 50% higher than the 23.56 million cars sold in China last year and the Chinese market hasn't grown since 2016.They need to export like crazy. All these Chinese EV will trash their competition in other countries. China's own car market will expand even further to 36 million per year, creating more room for local companies to grow.
