A good summary here of the deal between leapmotor and Stellantis.

Imo, a pretty good deal for Leapmotor. Basically the entire future for Stellantis fleet will depend on Leapmotor R&D team if this works out. I have mad respect for Leapmotor for developing everything in house

They are like a mini byd.

Sounds like zeekr, nio & xpeng are struggling a little bit

Tesla model y order this month is terrible

Byd got about 205k so far, which extrapolates to around 260k for full month and that doesn't include denza, yangwang or exports.

Of the two big French auto makers, Renault is the “pro-China” one, while Stellantis (parent of Peugeot) used to be the “anti-China” one, hence it’s Stellantis pushing for the EU’s China EV subsidy probe. Not sure whether that’s changed now that Stellantis has a 20% stake in Leapmotor.

One obvious move recently is the proliferation of cheap ADAS solution using domestic supply chain.

I've talked about Haomo's 3000, 5000, 8000 RMB solution a while back. Well, they also work with Horizon Journey series

Using single Journey 3 chip for the low end ADAS, this is the low end ADAS package that can do parking and simple ADAS feature

100-200k is 50% of China's PV market, this is where light weight parking solution comes to play. So a lot of these ADAS tech suppliers are developing J3 powered solutions

Aside from J3, Horizon J5 & Black sesame A1000 can be used to achieve NOA and parking

宏景智驾 (hongjing drive) has already achieved Journey 3 powered drive/park solution able to lane keeping, auto parking, remote parking

福瑞泰克 (autofree tech) also works with Horizon robotics

Leapmotor needs to promote their brand worldwide, so that customers know Stellantis is using their technology.
