The Electric Viking debunks Serpentza's video. All the vehicles in the video are gasoline powered. Yup, gas powered. Not even plug in hybrids, not even hybrids, not even mild hybrids. Gas powered cars are not selling in China, resulting in ICE cars rotting.

I'm surprised by this guy. For a long time I ignored him because I thought he was one of those western clickbait garbage youtubers who would jump on whatever anti-China bandwagon that the western audience likes. Turns out he's very good with facts, though he still does use clickbait titles like this one

His issue is he uses clickbait titles and stretches videos that could be 2 minutes long into videos that are 10 minutes long.

In general he does have a genuine interest in electric vehicles though, which at least means he tries to do due diligence into the topic.

Yeah, those clcikbait titles really ruin those videos. He would have 7 to 8 minutes videos that talk about nothing

China projected to still control 79% of processed graphite production (uncoated spheroidised purified graphite, used in battery anodes) in 2032. Right now it's absolute monopoly of nearly 100%.

Overall nothing really new in this politico article, just some numbers I picked out that I thought were interesting:

Chinese EVs projected to account for 9 to 18% of EU BEV sales in 2025, from 3.5% in 2022. More than half of the $24 billion Chinese FDI into the EU in 2022 is EV industry related.
