Wonder if Chinese companies will switch to Tesla NACS connector once finalized by SAE… Volvo already said they will, should mean Polestar will too, and possibly Geely.

you don't need to switch to Tesla NACS connector, but you can certainly try to create adaptor that would allow you to charge at Tesla superchargers

NIO will start delivering next gen ES8 in a month. Pretty expensive.

BYD unveils a 200 km pure electric range of Han DM-i. I'm not sure how many of this they will sell, but for a lot of people, 200 km range is enough for 99% of day to day trips

Denza D9 was prominently displayed at the summer Davos in Tianjin. This car will be exported

Ideally you don't want to carry an adapter around.

Doing some search it seems like China is working with Japan (!) on ChaoJi/CHAdeMO 3.0.
CHAdeMO had early momentum, but is pretty much considered dead outside of Japan. Not sure how much progression has been made on Chaoji adoption.

China’s Tinci to Build Lithium Battery Material Plants in US, Morocco
Tinci has begun the pre-preparation stage, including the feasibility study and environmental impact assessment, for a new lithium battery electrolyte factory with annual production capacity of 200,000 tons in Texas, the Guangzhou-based company said in a statement yesterday.

After construction is completed in 30 months, the Texas plant, which will comply with the US Inflation Reduction Act’s restrictions on the supplier’s location, will meet demand for battery electrolytes in North America and provide Tinci’s overseas clients with advantages related to localized supply and time and quality guarantees, the firm added.

In a separate statement on the same day, Tinci said its Singapore unit will invest as much as USD280 million to set up a project company in Morocco that will produce and sell lithium-ion battery materials.

I can assure you that I'm always carrying my adapters around (yes multiple). It's part of the kit that I keep in the frunk

How do you keep them from being stolen when hooked up? (Honest question)
You have a Tesla, so I think the adapter locks, but I'm thinking of J1772 (Car) to Tesla Charger adapter, not sure how to secure them.
I don't know, I normally charge with an adapter and nobody has ever tried to steal my adapter. What kind of terrible place do you live in?
