Great, they should buy Dual motor technology from BYD then. Won't be any different from buying electric motor/battery from BYD.

Worth following this guy I think. Huawei + CATL + Chery is a big deal imo. I think they probably left it a little late. Models going to production in 2024 would be facing a BYD brand that's probably producing taking 25% of domestic market (almost 50% of NEV market). That would be hard to overcome. I think Huawei realizes that working with Seres/Sokon is not a winning strategy.

Since they just revealed prices for Atto 3 in japan on the 6th, this is quite a bit of orders. Also given how Japanese consumers regard Chinese cars, this is quite impressive. Japan was always considered to be a very important international market for BYD. Maybe the most important one? Conquering the Japanese market would just solidify BYD's reputation back in China and all over ASEAN countries. Conquering Japan and German market would solidify BYD's reputation everywhere. At this point, BYD should avoid US passenger vehicle market unless it wants to get sanctioned.

When we talk about BYD speed, think about the following.

so that's 23 days from start of negotiation to signing and another 42 days to start working and another 10 month to first car rolling off the line. So one year to go from start of negotiation to first car rolling off the line from a brand new factory in Hefei. By Nov, Hefei plant already producing 4 billion RMB of value and reached 10 billion RMB of production value in 4 months.

Absolutely not. We do not need more people getting hurt because their car catches fire.

It is interesting to know while EV has the lowest percentage of vehicles of catching fire, it is not ICE but hybrids that have the highest percentage of catching fire. The reason for it is simple. ICE is combustible fuel only, while EV is battery only but hybrids have both combustible fuel and battery in the same car and often close enough to each other.

But they won't conquer German Market if BYD Han is selling for 72000 euros. The price is a blunder from BYD.
