BYD ramp up is truly impressive. Hefei just saw the first car off its plan in June 30th and now it's at 1400 a day and it headed to 1600 a day (or close to 70 JPH). Yes, they do 24 hours. That would be 48k a month and over 500k a year. BYD has recently taken over Anhui province with numerous cars, battery and parts factories. Might have something to do with the fact that WCF was born and grew up there.

MobiGo from Netherlands took delivery of 2 Atto 3 for their ride sharing program
thus far, 94 Atto 3, 34 Tang and 3 Han have been registered in Netherlands.

Tesla, a Chinese company, and a German company (?) set up a JV to make semiconductor related products for the auto industry.

After BYD, Nio and Chery are also rumored to order vehicle carriers. If true, this shows you how ambitious some Chinese NEV makers are about auto export.

BYD is unreal. Parts factory in Funan country (阜南) has already produced its first parts

after agreement reached in Sep and construction starting in Oct. From signing agreement to producing parts in 2 months. How is that even possible?

I'm still amazed that they are able to do this. Btw, makes sense for them to construct parts factory so close to their expected large car plant in Hefei. They also have battery factories at Wuhu (芜湖) and ChuZhou (滁州). So yeah, they got the entire Anhui Province cornered now. I think they might also have refining factory here in Anhui.

Also, BRI and Xi'an plant is a big part of their future expansion plans in export markets

Still some issues in there as I pointed out. The southern route is not fully connected. They need to work with Turks and Southern Europeans to get that worked out. But even in the main line, there definitely seems to be some political issues preventing terminals from getting the funding they need. Looks like Chinese firms need to pay up here.

Longer term, my sense is that it is still more efficient to go Xi'an to East coast of North America and North Africa through rail and then freight in Hamburg or Amsterdam rather than shipping it through Shenzhen.

Sodium-Aluminum battery is almost 70% less expensive than LFP.

At least short-termly, the Inflation Reduction Act will only serve to limit U.S. NEV makers' own choices.
