One thing that I appreciate from Musk Simp is that they even acknowledge that Giga Shanghai >> Giga Fresno. Instead of just muh slave labourrrr
There are no redeeming qualities among most of the left or right in the west, the right makes bad faith argument about labor rights (that they clearly do not believe) and blatantly dehumanizes those they (very poorly) pretend to care.

The left are the kind of people who think everyone in the developing world should go back to subsistence level farming because manufacturing jobs doesn't immediately offer developed world salary and benefits, thus no developing countries deserve having manufacturing jobs at all. I'm not sure if they believe their own nonsense, but at least they sound more sincere than the right.

It's a complete waste of time even hearing them talk. Neither actually gives 2 chicken farts about the wellbeing of anyone in developing countries but pretends to anyway(the right sincerely hope it gets worse since it gives them more comparative power). It's like hearing the Republican and Democrats talk, different rhetoric but arrives at the exact same conclusion every time.

Are you willing to pay some top dollars for BAudi?
yeah, this has been rumored for a while, including that photo I posted a few days ago of FAW/VW visiting BYD office.

It's kind of needed for VW if they want to achieve the goal of no more ICE cars by 2030 or 2035. I think we can generally assume that VW will start of with just selling these cars in China. But longer term, they will probably use them elsewhere too.

This is how China is anchoring themselves in German automotive supply chain

I think It's probably too early to tell. China's NEV industry really needs consolidations. After that, only BYD and 3 or 4 other conglomerates will remain, hopefully all vertically integrated like BYD, and have the financial backings of China's digital and other business champions such as Huawei, Baidu, Alibaba, and Douyin etc etc. By that time Tesla probably will have a hard time to undercut any of them.

Partially solar powered ultra-fast charging station:

Zeekr 009 was just officially released. There are two versions, one with CATL's Qilin battery pack. Both versions have dual motors, with a combined motor power of 400 kW/536 Hp, a torque of 686 nM/506 lb-ft, and a acceleration of 4.5 second from 0-100 km/h (62 miles/h). They also come with air-suspension that adjusts automatically.

Personally, I like its profile with the short frontoverhang:

Zeekr 009 in matte black is probably the most cyberpunk mafia-esque vehicle I have ever seen in mass production... Geely should do a collab with CDPR.

Depends.
NEV industry is seemed to be just like smartphones, but cars are not smartphones in the end - if anything, they're kinda expensive.
There probably is reasonable room for independent brands higher up in the price range.

ICE is even worse. Too many weak state owned brands like Dongfeng Fengshen, SAIC Roewe, Wuling, Baojun, Chery, Exeed, Jetour, Trumpchi, Beijing, all fighting for the same budget segment with low profit margins and strong japanese competitors. Should merge all of them into 1 standalone company.

At least the NEVs usually have quite a bit of price and brand differentiation
