New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in China

@tphuang In Thailand people can get the ATTO 3 at 1.2m baht which roughly translated into 31,000 USD while in Cambodia we have to pay up to 41,800 USD to own the same car. It's really unfair! Add to the worst, we can only rely on home charger to run the vehicle!

BYD is really going after the little baby markets also.

Officially launching Atto 3 in Laos

This one is a lot of bigger. India
Here is where things are in India in terms of EVs. The market is growing, but mostly selling in the lower end segment with Tata. BYD has been steadily climbing with E6 sales. Atto 3 should really boost these numbers next year.

Deliveries to Australia is ramping up. Over 180 in September, but that's still less than what they delivered to New Zealand in August. There is a pretty long backlog here.

Interesting, they exported 6.8 GWh of batteries in September. That would be 1/3 of total production.
In the future, I don't really know how they would count these totals when Chinese battery makers are building them overseas.

Here is the Tesla breakdown for September. Again, most of the sales were for Chinese market, so that's why the wait time just collapsed. Expect a lot of export in October I think

They are really going hard with the Atto 3, which I think is a good strategy. You can't go wrong with such a conventional design and segment. But are they planning to ramp up Atto 3 production? It's a bad first impression if overseas customers have to wait months to get their car like in the mainland

well, if you look at my post earlier, they are fully ramping up Yuan+ production in Hefei and Changzhou. By some point next year, Yuan+ monthly production will go over 50k a year.

They are actually going to introduce a couple of more mass market model to international market. Song+ DM-i will be a huge seller and same with the Dolphin.

Tesla customers wait months for their cars. Not anything different here with BYD.

It is reported that BYD will buy 8 RORO ships that each can carry as many as 7700 cars and will cost BYD 84 millions USD. The current market price in China for such ships is about 100 millions USD each.

BYD is not alone. Anji Logistics, a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, has placed order for 5 RORO ships earlier this year.
