Challenge..do you have a larger version of that document? is it in Chinese? If so please translate.

I guess the important part is the highlighted part:

The size is: 2.0mm x 1.1mm x 0.08mm

Functional bandwidth is: 9.4 - 10.6 Ghz, (not sure about the translation here) small signal gain is 10 dB, something about pulse output power is 10 W and maximum output power is 11.7W.

The article was apparently received by the publication on 2/20/2007

HIMET based microwave circuit usually associate with AESA,the paper provide a hint.

article describing X band continous wave 119 watt GaN power HEMT
the x-band CW MMW circuit has output 119 w.
picture show 4X 5.52mm wide GaN HEMT pack inside the chip.

stop posting junk like this and try to actually put some real useful stuff out there. You are about this close to getting warned.

Re: Chinese x band MMIC

since the article was originally published in 2007,there is a strong possibility that a prototype may already been fitted on J-11B and J-10B (and even JH-7B).the bigger problem may be solfware.
when Pakistan hear that India will purchased AESA equip MiG-35,PAF quickly ask china for similiar radar, this after attempt to purchased selex AESA was block by the US.
pakistan may have been brief by PLAAF on the progress of development chinese AESA .

Re: Chinese miliary radio and communciation equipment.

may 2007(?) issue of kanwa, feature Chinese naval encryption machine and radio equipment, the radio was for naval use it feature frequency hopping .and encryption machine. it also provide data link.
and during 2009 military parade, among equipment seen in the parade was troposcatter relay equipment ,liscense from ukraine .
but to date picture PLA radio communication equipment for platoon level not yet been seen.
modern infantry radio feature encoding chip and frequency hopping, aside secure voice communication,it can also download video, and data ,much like internet.

Well I think militaries usually try to keep the most sophisticated communications equipment under wraps. Back in my army days we were strictly forbidden to photograph installed communications equipment (though dismantled they didn't care).

The modern systems you are referring I'd say is still quite cutting-edge. There is nothing like that distributed on platoon-level in any regular branch in the Norwegian Armed Forces at least (as a wealthy NATO member, I assume Norway has access to the technology) as far as I know.

Re: chain armour

There is nothing surprising at all. China armour had been imported into China in 718. Not widely used, but that doesn't mean ancient China do not have it. China have been actively trading with countries like Persia and Rome since ancient time.

Plus chain armour do not originated from Persia. It was introduce to asia by the Roman.
