Like this a lot better than the trailer released in December.
Could you please elaborate on that? Thanks
America didn't get to be this grand experiment in life and liberty by the lectures of our liberal critics. We are a Christian Nation, we have strong beliefs and superior ethics, that same ethos demanded that as a Christian Nation we free those who were brought her as slaves, the golden rule states that we should treat others as we would desire to be treated.
We have always had a fairly large influx of immigrants, those fleeing poverty or oppression, we have allowed all to come and join in this Republic, even those of different colors or cultures, or religions. But our constitution and bill of rights protect our God given rights, the right to life, liberty, and happiness. The right to defend our Nation from foes without and within who would take away your freedom, and coerce you to think or do something which is Not consistent with our Faith, or our values.
When our current President refers to those of us who value our Faith and Freedoms, as "bitter clingers", he is attempting to impose his own confused values on those of us who believe that our freedom has been paid for in the hard currency of blood, the blood of men who laid down their lives for freedom.
That freedom is threatened by those who would impose their will and their values which run counter to our own Christian values of individual responsibility, concern and compassion for others, and love of our country. That includes liberal politicians who label patriots as bigots, homophobes, even terrorists, for having a desire to defend Faith, Family, and Freedom.
So not to judge, and as I have noted Americans have in the past been very accepting of others, but now our own Faith and Values have been labeled as ???? So no, I don't appreciate politicians, Hollywood "Actors", or those who are taking advantage of our hospitality, to lecture us on whats wrong with our country. We "know" its not perfect?? but most of us have worked very hard to kind and receive those who have come seeking a better life for themselves and their families. I'm always happy to share my Faith, and happy to invite the hungry to my table and feed them, I work hard to be among the most respectful of others here on SDF, and every day in my life I seek to share this beautiful gift of life and freedom with anyone who has a desire to share it with me?
I honestly believe we need to come back to our God, and seek His forgiveness and blessing? I give Him all the honor and the Glory that He has earned, so that's where I'm coming from, I don't want my government dictating my belief, or threatening the truth found in the Scriptures, and yes I know I have a long way to go, and I'm working on it? really, I am.
I saw The Ridiculous Six too. I liked it a lot. The only thing was that Adam Sandler was too serious and almost too dull. He didn't smile, didn't even talk too much. Almost all the laughs came from his co-stars. It almost looks like he was trying to step back and stand behind his buddies and let them shine. Anyway, I liked it.
I too agree that TV shows and movies have become a little too serious.
I also believe that we are seeing a golden age of TV now. They are putting out some awesome TV shows with ingenious plots, good characters and good acting. My favorite is still "24". To this day, nothing has come close it, IMHO. If I have to use one word to describe it, it would be intense. "Blacklist" is also an awesome show. We are starting "Blindspot". It's looking good so far and has definitely grabbed our attention. I am addicted to "Arrow" and "Flash" on CW too. "Gotham" is also nice. Just finished binge-watching "Burnt Notice" a couple weeks ago. I loved it. The combination of comedy, action and suspense is nice. Supernatural is getting crazier and almost wacky by the episode, but in a good way.
Most of the shows you mention are too serious for me, I do follow Gotham though. I think it strikes just the right stylized tone between the overly serious Christian Bale movies and the overly campy ones from the '90s. In general I enjoy sitcoms more, like Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, Life in Pieces, Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, The Goldbergs...
Anybody see Shannara Chronicles on MTV? The pilot episode was last week. I always saw these books on the store shelves back during my Dungeons and Dragons days but never read them. Very interesting especially coming from MTV. Great sets and special effects for a TV show and interesting Lord of the Rings epic feeling. It's fantasy with elves and magic but it's set in the future on Earth where modern humans had some apocalypse so you see the ruins of humanity left behind.
That's what's great about TV these days. Stuff that use to be only seen in movies is reaching affordability for television. Add to that the character and story development that was the advantage of TV and you have great shows for the future.
I did. I liked it. The effects are definitely movie quality. And it also has an epic feeling and scale. The plot is nice so far. I like the fact they reversed the typical fantasy premise, where elves and dwarfs exist in the ancient times. Here they are the offsprings of human who mostly extincted after a nuclear war. Let's see where they go from here. I hope it's not a typical quest thing.
This is what I have saying. The golden age of tv. So many good shows, so little time... We typically spend the entire weekend catching up all the new ones. We don't even have time to watch those good old ones...
I am also anxiously waiting for the legends of tomorrow. I like what CW and DC Comics are doing. I also like Agents of Shield and agent Carter. But CW/DC shows are better.
