I saw the Sin City sequel last night. I don't even know why they bother. I saw the first one and yeah it was something new back then but ever since Frank Miller's stuff has been adapted for the screen and have failed. I had heard that a lot of scenes didn't have all the actors together filming. Maybe because I heard that beforehand... it did look like the actors were talking to themselves. I should've watched Expendables 3 instead.

Frank Miller is currently a mere parody of his formerself. As one comic reviewer stated succinctly -- "Frank Miller never stopped writing Sin City". One merely has to look at All Star Batman and Robin and Holy Terror to see how low he stooped.

My wife and I and our sister in law, all went and saw "The Giver," yesterday.

GREAT movie. Very well done. No foul language, no sexual, or immoral scenes, and very little violence. But a story line that absolutely takes on the culture of death, takes on complete and over burdensome government, and shows how the human spirit, faith and love can overcome them all through free choice.

Highly recommended!

A lot of big actors lately like Robert Redford and Michael Douglas have done or are doing superhero movies.

Since Marvel has all these movies planned up to 2020. I'm going to take some guesses how it might go. I mentioned before the Planet Hulk movie. The Avengers 2 movie has a part where Tony Stark goes up against the Hulk in his Hulk Buster suit. In the comics I've been told this leads to Hulk being sent into space. Does this lead to the Planet Hulk movie as in the comics? Unknown. Why do the Avengers send the Hulk into space? Unknown. But rumors are Thanos is again behind the scenes in Avengers 2 and actor Josh Brolin who plays the voice of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy made a surprise appearance at the Avengers 2 panel at Comic Con. So maybe the Hulk goes berserk beyond control because of something Thanos did. Whether or not there's going to be a Planet Hulk movie or not, my bet is Hulk's ticket back to Earth comes from the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Hulk is green... Gamora's green... they're going to play on that. Drax's new mission in life is going after Thanos. Everyone seems to have or is going to have something against Thanos. Avengers 3 is where both the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy unite in the epic Marvel movie to defeat Thanos.

If the Hulk gets launched into space in Avengers 2...

They just can't have one team take down Thanos when everyone has a problem with him. Interesting to see if the Hulk gets his own movie in between or is he going to be a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel.

This movie seems interesting. Sort of reminds me of the movie Payback. It's all about the principle.

Here's the new Hunger Games trailer. It's looks like they blow up the Three Gorges Dam. Not sure if it is. I thought the books take place in a futuristic former US. Maybe it's marketing since the Hunger Games series has not caught fire in China.

I think that it kinda helps that these movies are made in such a way that it avoids some of the comic book absurd story telling. Movies like Captain American 2 and GOTG focus on telling a good story without the very comic bookish acsents that make the property unpalatable for non-comic book readers.

SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN director Rupert Sanders is developing a live action movie for GHOST IN THE SHELL, and it seems he may have found his lead. Margot Robbie In Talks To Lead GHOST IN THE SHELL. Is this a bridge too far project?

I think there is already some concept art floating around the net. Here are my thoughts. First CGI and Special effects are at the point where the Manga world can be produced, the question is translation. Second from a visual standing Robbie is closer to the Puppet masters look then the Majors', but if she can act and if she is prepared for the extreme physicality of the role I say give her a shot. The Major role demands both acting skills and extreme violence, grace, beauty and power. She is gymnast, marital artist, super model, cop, ninja, prophet, psychoanalysis, a bit of a exibitionist, and a marksmen. You need a actress for the role who is visually pleasing, complex, willing to take bruises and endure makeup, beatings, clothing that leaves nothing to the imagination, lots of gun play and still be able to make the audience Beg for more.
