That same bad guy played the leading role in District 9 (Sharlto Copley), heck even he makes a better Batman than Ben Afleck.

I like Elysium too although I find some of the tech to be very far fetch even for 100 years into the future. It's however also good to know that 2010 model Nissan GTR and Dodge Ram are still running like champs in the year 2154. Shouldn't 140 yr old cars be in an auto musuem instead? ;)

Supposedly PLA sponsored sci-fi anime movie about an alien invasion of Earth in the future. That breaks so many rules but then animation may not count. I read that The Walking Dead in China is seen by 160 million people. How is this possible? Apparently the government is less restrictive of what movies and television shows are shown on the internet. Youku has deals on American television shows and it's the news cash cow for Hollywood.

The problem with Ben Affleck is he doesn't have a good track record in acting. He got a Golden Globe nomination for Hollywoodland where he played the actor George Reeves who played Superman. But the Golden Globes is laughed at in whispers in Hollywood for just being an excuse for a bunch foreign reporters every year getting their opportunity to meet their favorite movie stars. A lot of A-list actors are in fact not great actors. George Clooney... Julia Roberts... not a lot of range in their acting. They basically play the same person in every movie. They're one-trick ponies. People forget Hollywood is not just about film and television industries. It's also about the industry of celebrity. A lot of people hate Kim Kardashian for being famous for doing nothing except the notoriety of having her sex tape exposed to the public. Yet she makes something around $30 million every year. Being a celebrity is enough to get people to follow her which is enough to make her that much money. And she's only getting a fraction of what's being made from her celebrity. One may be a great actor but not a big celebrity. The thing is they want an actor with celebrity. Henry Cavill doesn't have the name recognition yet of one. So Ben Affleck was most likely chosen to fill-in that gap they need for the Man of Steal franchise.

Here's a fan edited trailer of Batman Year One with Jim Caviezel as Bruce Wayne/Batman which I have been adovcating to cast as an alternative to Affleck.

LOL...go tell that to those Cubans who still runs classical cars with more recycled and rebuilt modernised engine, since they're still facing an embargo from the US from buying new cars!;)

that's the popular image, the truth is though there are holes for two Cuban air lines are known to fly French Italian made regional turboprops, and Cuban national police are known to have received late model French made Pigio police cruisers in the 1990s.

if the Chinese entertainment bigwigs are smart they should waste no time and make a china version of The Walking Dead asap. i'm sick and tired of the same old lame costume dramas. we need to see some creativity and good stories to be made into movies and or tv shows. Chinese viewers need more horror and sci fi

The anime movie is called something like World Peacekeepers. Lame title.

Chinese authorities aren't going to let domestic horror be made certainly not at the level in the Hollywood anytime soon. I always hear of productions that go in that direction but never hear if they get to the theater. Like I read there was a Chinese Bigfoot monster movie in production.
