“Our relationship with China has always been very good, we have had intense economic relations for many years, and it is in everyone’s interest that they do not change,” Zelenskiy was quoted as saying in Italian newspapers ahead of a visit to Kyiv by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expected as soon as Monday.

Says the guy that imposed sanctions on the Chinese company that invested in Motor Sich because the US told them to.

Well helping Russia to take over is a pragmatic attitude, Ukriane and Zelensky still owns a Motosich factory and its IP catalog that China wanted to buy or bought if i'm not mistaken.
Motor Sich is completely destroyed, the human capital is probably completely lost after this war.
That sounds like Ukraine's problem. They still owe China one(1) soviet era company. Better cough it up somehow, otherwise maybe Putin is more amenable to giving the equivalent value in plunder from Ukraine.

I don't think China really cares that much, but it's a matter of principle and it's good to keep the Soviet knowhow somewhat contained inside the socialist world.

Xi: Zelensky my young comrade, one must create the conditions... tell me what is your position on Taiwan.

Zelensky: Ah... hmm... can I call my friend... Blinkey first?
Blinkey: "Well my coke sniffing friend i think you're fucked"
Zelensky: "Okay I will tell mr Xi we support Taiwan independence but i expect a extra $billion on my bank account, this is Mr Z over and out"

But isnt China already doing so by not jumping on the idiot band wagon and buying the oil/gas they need on the cheap while the rest of them are trying to find none Russian alternatives because of 'mah democracy'. Besides, being pragmatic means caring for their own nation, not in trying to be the next person to sit on that oil man 'with the hairy legs' lap. Maybe Zelensky should be more pragmatic and learn to STFU

I mean looking at many non western female leaders, especially that of the female diplomat in Africa who called out Blinken with some serious class and Zakharova from Russia who I can see is the definition of what real competence is like in the face of crisis, we can see that being female is not exactly an end or be all when it comes to true strength and leadership, but we one looks at how western female leaders show themselves, really, they pretty much are there to look sexy and even then utterly fail at doing so, so badly that I have developed a dislike for blond western models in general moving forward and have never ever even felt any interest in any female western model no matter how good looking they might be, as in complete lack of any feeling at all when in my high school days, I would have something of a genuine interest. They literally induce shrinkage for crying out loud and I don't know how that is even possible

Well, if NATO showed the same interest in protecting Chinese territory as it does in protecting Ukrainian territory, then surely China would greatly help Ukraine remove the Russian presence.

I think if China threatened to attack Russia economically on pain of immediately leaving the Donbass, Putin would have 0 options but to follow the demand.

China and Ukraine are both non NATO countries. If NATO cares so much about territorial integrity and the rules based world order from ww2, then why not donate a few HIMARS, a few leopard 2 (or at least some 1s?) to China as well, so we can all preserve our territorial integrity? It wouldn't add anything to the PLA, however it would be a little morale boost and a spiritual show of support.

But we all know, NATO is a coalition of invaders who support invaders whenever they're the invaders. The only reason they don't support Russia is because Russia isn't an invader from their team.
