Yeah, China smokes a lot, they are number one in share of death attributed to smoking. I saw more people smoking in one day back in China than an entire year here in Canada. If China fixes its smoking problem, it could get its life expectancy up to Korean and Japan levels

My grandpa died asking for everyone to come home while smoking on his chair. Epic man he is, Fought in WW2 and the Korean war. I say I follow his foot steps and smoke my way to death rather than getting killed in WW3.

I have seen a report claiming that smoking is good for economies because one pays high taxes on cigarette, it doesn't hinder productivity, and one dies younger. I am not a china fan, but it's actually very good for china right now.

SOUTH KOREA is apparently doomed due to its demographic collapse that's almost irreversible.
A bit alarmist to be honest. The thing the angers me about these kind of videos is that these guys, the makers of this videos are Australian liberals and they are first ones to come out to defend urban white Western liberal crap. In the broader world, they know that children come at the expense of women. They know that reversing falling birth rates will be done reversing decades of policies , usually UN mandated policies. They know that pushing this crap could make states to restrict access to reproductive care to young women, already happening in the US. They know that motherhood is basically its own career, the poorer the women the more difficult is to keep up with other careers, the reference of husbands doing "homework" is a damn joke, that won't do crap to easy the burden. They know that means reversing decades of feminist propaganda for motherhood propaganda. They know will required a complete change in the economic landscape.

But they will be the first ones to complain with their crappy little videos.

Is like climate change, which I believe. The reality is: There are no good options and a MASSIVE nuclear energy build up can only partially slow the problem.
The two options are:
- An economic shutdown. No good.
-Geoengineering, shading. No good, plants and more important crops need sunlight

Won’t be long before they hand over the clothes they are wearing.

TSMC is going to be running all of Intel Fabs now in exchange for 20% of the joint venture. Creating their own competitor who is going to strip their own home clean.

Intel, TSMC tentatively agree to form chipmaking joint venture, Information reports

(Reuters) - Intel and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co have reached a preliminary agreement to form a joint venture to operate the U.S. chipmaker's factories, the Information reported on Thursday, citing two people involved in the discussions.

TSMC, the world's largest contract chipmaker, will take a 20% stake in the new company, the report said.

The White House and Commerce department officials have been pressing TSMC and Intel to strike a deal to resolve the long-running crisis at Intel, the report added.

Intel and TSMC declined to comment, while the White House did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

Reuters reported in March that TSMC had pitched Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom to take stakes in a joint venture that would operate Intel's factories, after the U.S. administration requested the Taiwanese chipmaking giant to help turn around the troubled U.S. icon.

Intel in March appointed former board member and chip industry veteran Lip-Bu Tan as its CEO to revive its fortunes after it missed out on the artificial intelligence-driven semiconductor boom while plowing billions of dollars into building out its chip-making business.

The company's efforts to manufacture chips for external clients have faced challenges as it fell short of providing the level of customer and technical service as rival TSMC, leading to delays and failed tests, former executives have told Reuters.

It reported 2024 net loss of $18.8 billion, its first since 1986, driven by large impairments.

Last month, TSMC said at a press event with U.S. President Donald Trump that it plans to make a fresh $100 billion investment in the U.S. that involves building five additional chip facilities.

If these Chinese EV companies want "free" advertising in the US for their cars, all they have to do is give some of these cars for free like to this guy. That way there would be pressure to let Chinese EV companies to sell their cars in the US because guys like this will be showing them off where others will want one too. I believe custom made cars can get a permit to have them drive street legal in the US but they have go through some hurdles so why not this one. Plenty of celebrities get free stuff from companies just as long as they use them in public.

I don't know anything about these kinds of Livestreaming people, but this guy's act is a little too over the top, at least with respect to the cars.
Like obviously he knows about these cars beforehand (Su7 Ultra, U9) to make the arrangements to do his videos. So his extreme reaction is a bit too much.

That being said, it is good to see a video about a car being cool rather than a formal review.

It's not easy to get a car over to the US and drive on the street if you are not a manufacturer (ie. Jim Farley's Su7, seen a SAIC Buick in Canada, also Opel when it was owned by GM)

At best you could do this

Bill Gates famously had his Porsche 959 impounded for a long time.

In any case, the Chinese companies already know. Lei Jun (CEO of Xiaomi) posted a drifting video on X with an English description. Obviously the video was meant for westerners. You also see a lot of English on the slide decks of the BYD intros in China, again knowing it will likely be attended by foreign journalists.

Medical units for the military is not necessary, it is preferable that every soldier injured succumb to their injuries.
