Canada’s PM is proud to announce the government’s 200m funding of abortion in Africa.I'm worried about the "Uyghur genocide" too.
Meanwhile the biggest city in his country can’t get tramlines working!

This should go in the AI thread but here is something I noticed. India won't shut the hell up about AI but if you notice not only does it have basically no real groundbreaking AI development, it's companies have no plan to implement AI either.
In contrast all the robotic companies in China alone will be able to use and benefit from the tech advancements from deepseek.
They knew, what they didn't know was their real job was to pretend America's nuclear stockpile still works.Has nobody ever briefed DOGE before they went ahead with the firings? Lmao
Perhaps most worrying of all, Vance's vision seems to completely disregard why the post-WW2 European architecture was built in the first place. Europe is the place where both world wars started, 100% of them. The past 80 years were a uniquely peaceful time in European history: due to the high density of states in a relatively small geography and the somewhat disagreeable character of many European nations (the French very much included), the continent had been in almost constant conflict for the previous millennium. I really dislike European institutions as much as the next guy but I don't forget the original spirit with which they were built: to put an end to endless war in Europe.
By positioning America as an ally of nationalist forces against these institutions, Vance isn't just ending an alliance - he's actively working to unwind the entire post-war European peace architecture, which could have immense ramifications. In fact I think we can even legitimately ask ourselves if the U.S. doesn't now have war in Europe as one of its strategic objectives. Given the U.S.'s history in triggering wars left, right and center when it believes they're in their interests, and given Vance's speech, I think the question has merits.
Deepseek's translation中国人靠996,美国人靠打三份工加上卖血,俄罗斯人靠流血牺牲战场填线,你们欧洲人靠什么过着每周30小时工作,每年夏天全民度假一个月的好日子?你们凭什么???
"The Chinese rely on 996 (9 AM to 9 PM, 6 days a week), Americans rely on working three jobs and selling blood, Russians rely on bloodshed and sacrifices to fill the battlefronts. What do you Europeans rely on to enjoy a 30-hour workweek and a month-long summer vacation for everyone every year? What gives you the right???"

Update: JD Vance issues a rebuke.
They don’t really flee, they just want to take advantage of benefits of a relatively open society outside of India where their scamming and nepotism is allowed to go under the radar. Many Indians I know often go back to India to live lives of indulgence with servants. The mentality that follows from this state of affairs is obvious to all. This is not surprising.
India is a really poor country.
The well off have no incentive to do anything other than preserve their own status inside India.
At least in America, someone like Trump comes along to shake things up. That will never happen in India.
Hence, all the Indians want to flee their own country.
actions have consequences, even for wannabe whites like the “aryans” of India.
Is this really true or fake news, but still India is unreliable as hell and quite frankly a gigantic liability to who ever they deal with but still it does sound too good to be true in all honesty.About fucking time.
Thank goodness. India was always a deadweight. Decision-making should become easier without India obstructing at every opportunity.

That music made it look like a Benny Hill skit.
