The rumour from Ayi is there is an investigation, but Dong Jun is helping the investigation and not the subject being investigated.
Hopefully this is the case.

Only if he is actually being investigated. It gets immediately memory holed if this happened to be baseless rumor milling or shoddy information (as the author has insider info). It’s not like FT will release an apology six months later or even revise this article. Let’s be real, pretty much all news media (not just western) are clickbait machines no different than the average YouTuber making vids about country collapse in 5 days. Facts are always going to be secondary to clickbait, as it’s how they make their money.I agree. I think people were too dismissive of the FT article.
Time will tell.
Thats my rule of thumb. Im getting too old for giving them anymore benefit of the doubt.Any claim the FT and Western media in general make should be met with skepticism just on general principle. I will say this about Dong Jun: I hope he's clean for the sole reason that he's the most defense minister-looking defense minister I've ever seen. As Trump would say, he looks like he just walked out of central casting.

They have been wrong so many times and are not taking it seriously. So why should we take them seriously?
It will actually force China to produce more - bullish for China's manufacturing.10 year project? Will it start from Trump1.0 time? 4 years per president per term in US right?
...
Let me guess: Xiao Gonggin is just another delusional liberal Chinese "scholar" who think Russia and Putin are chopped liver. In reality, Trump may well continue the war in Ukraine:"Why Trump Means Nothing Good for China According to Xiao Gongqin
"The possibility of an entente between US and Russia should absolutely not be ignored." "
No. Any article that quotes unnamed "former officials" as source has no credibility. Is there any substance to this recent FT report from 12 minutes ago?
He is the one who in the early 2010s insisted that China was the second Japan and its growth rate would average 2-3% through out the 2010s.Whos that Michael Pettis?
From Arnaud Bertrand:
In other words, The Economist's "shrinking middle class" is actually showing Chinese households becoming TOO WEALTHY to fit their definition of "middle class." They've turned a story of rising prosperity - where increasing numbers of Chinese households are earning more than $25,000 per year - into a misleading narrative of decline by simply not showing households above their arbitrary $25,000 cap.
This is like saying a country's middle class is "shrinking" because too many people are getting rich. It's technically true, but deliberately misleading.
When you throw shit against the wall, some are bound to stick. Their success rate is probably like flipping a coin.Do you have a link to when Ayi said this?
Western media has also been right many times.
Is FT british or japanese media?Sooner or later, no one is going to trust these main stream outlets when they have gotten so much wrong and have done nothing to explain why so much of the USA right now is poor as hell. Not even trump is going to help solve this mess and heck I reckon the FT is going to start spew crap about Trump as well, making everything worse. It’s like an near ending loop in an echo chamber with these people
Just because they guess some right doesn't mean we should take what they say at face value.
He deleted it already, but I remember clearly he said "调查和协助调查还是有很大区别的".Do you have a link to when Ayi said this?
