Already succeeded in halting gdp and wage growth for pretty much all of NATO. It is a long term siege where the life quality, expectancy and all other social indicators in US and US aligned countries will continue to fall. As long as US can't inflict equivalent damage back to China itself, there is no hurry in rushing to a conclusion.

it’s all very simple - the U.S. has by far, the highest living standards among non-micro states anywhere and the material basis for those living standards in unparalleled human capital, physical capital stock, and technological know-how are simply irreversible.
True, someone does need to put the hurt on the USA, in a manner that those stupid elites finally feel the pain for once. Their tendency to weasel out of punishment has gotten old long ago and their self righteousness and smugness almost demands the same horrible treatment that the Israelis inflicted on everyone being inflicted back onto them with interest
I seem to have very good experience with the public institutions in Australia as well in regards to the health system despite some gap fees. I mean both times my children are born they seem to give top class service and do everything properly when sometimes I have a hard time trusting the private sector given the amount of screw ups
Also Trump thinks he is a genius in trying to pit Russia against China and Iran but he seriously lacks the ability to understand that well, what the USA offers is essentially untrustworthy and basically unreliable for Russia to work with in the long term so his big brain moves basically end up useless very quickly and this is without everyone trying to sabotage him. neither China or Iran has anything to worry about

What “American blood” in Ukraine? There’s a ton of Russian blood due to the U.S. shipping a ton of weapons from 30 years ago to Ukraine but notably, no U.S. service members. Ukraine is absolutely wonderful for the US - all the U.S. did was type a few words on papers that “Ukraine was going to join nato”, and baited Russia into invading which meant the U.S. gets to sell untold volumes of weapons and energy to Europe, weaken Europe-Russia relations, and prove to European elites, complete Russian incompetence.
Even if the U.S. was “exiled to the North American continent” as the U.S. was, the U.S. would still have unparalled wealth. Angus Maddison’s work has shown that ever since the 1700s, the U.S. has been amazingly wealthy compared to any international panel, and if anything the great divergence is being led by the U.S. and that great divergence is only getting stronger
Also not happening: at worst, the U.S. goes back to living in prosperity in the lower 48 with Western Europe and Latin America as consolidation prizes.
In HK, people discuss salary as per month as that's the typical pay period. So it's 960,000 HKD per year or about 120k USD without bonuses. (A lot of places give 2-3 month bonuses so it was potentially even at 140-150k USD job)
$50k HKD/month is already top 10% of income in HK so this is someone who was living an absurdly cushy life throwing it away just to show everyone else their mental deficiencies.
HK does have an income tax, but it's around 10% with ~13k USD/yr tax credit for rent and no capital gains etc. taxes. Even someone earning 1.2 million HKD (150k USD) only has to pay 150k HKD (19k USD) in tax. So if he had a standard bonus, it would be equiv to someone earning $190k in NYC. Without the bonus, more like $160k.

I am often confused by the exercises Army and Marines that center around fighting a ground war with China. Just where do they envision this ground war to take place? In Taiwan or in China, or both? If Taiwan, what if Taiwan refuses American military to come onshore full-force because they fear a clash of two big army forces will simply turn Taiwan into a smoldering wasteland, does that mean US will invade Taiwan anyways just to prevent a China take-over? And if China, does US really think invading China is a good idea (or even an viable idea?) I guess they could invade and take over islands in SCS. But that would that accomplish? The same exposure that allows them to invade and perhaps succeed also exposes them to the counter that will inevitable come. So what are these ground-war exercises really telling us?
Israel does not need US or China. remember that article named Saudi-American eternal alliance not American-Saudi Alliance. If Arabs does not want US cannot afford to support Israel. and it is not US or China that stopped Iran from responding tougher to Israel.
Jews performed well in Ottoman empire for the longest period of time. Its US alliance is much shorter and even that is half backed support considering the scale of scientific contribution from Jews to US. My theory is that if US decline and unable to maintain stability in Mideast than highly likely a new Arabic Empire will be created. and inside that Empire will be India, Israel, Japan and Korea and long list of other countries. but they will also need Afghan superstate. but if that is created than so many non Arab states will be formed and states like Turkey will become irrelevant. I think Russian universities should launch a new subject area for research some thing like Doctor of Sciences in Arabic Soft Power than people will understand it. Russian officials put hint about it in every event without real explanation.
It'd be wildly unrealistic to take other parts of China if they can't even secure a beach head in Taiwan.
If China cannot stop Americans at the shore, it pretty much guarantees most of the province (at least where there's fighting) will be turned into a wasteland. China isn't gonna let America occupy and exploit Chinese land, they'll scorched earth all the way back to more defensible positions in Fujian if PLA can't hold Taiwan.
Ultimately a lot of the US territorial threats in Taiwan is just lashing out over an unfavorable geopolitical climate. Military size is the only major measure of power that US isn't 2nd place in, so they've defaulted to using it as bargaining chip. China's interior politics present possibility for chaos or even justification for war if US wants it, but they are clearly hesitant because even the most deluded among them know it would be extremely difficult or impossible to invade.
US will be trying to use, inflame or even military intervene in contradictions inside China or China's sphere in general, just as China has been doing to US' sphere. But a total war confrontation with US military officially attacking China's home territories is different, it would be too risky, it would require a lunatic to be in charge of the white house.

Gina Raimondo is more of a negative since she's looking to stifle AI competition but that's more important because if Chinese AI is a threat, where are all the Chinese names besides the tokenism they give? Maybe because they didn't do their homework to know hence makes this list worthless not providing any real information.
