Isolating America, that is a good strategy for China. President Trump approved of that strategy.

Don't laugh. Life is full of mysteries.

Does the Communist Party of China, want to push America and Europe together in an attempt to isolate both?

Of course, some countries like Switzerland will remain neutral and Russia would not side with America + minions.

-------- --------- ---------

Suppose the CCP made the determination that the world is moving into blocks, so might as well smack them hard.

Consider this, if the world moves further into blocks, and Samsung is making these chips based on ASML machines, would the future world see those ASML machines still exported to Samsung?

If someone says "yes," they are bs-ing you as they would not know.

That RCEP block is already a significant block. People want to be in there part of the action, not out. These blocks of the future will operation on written rules, and unwritten rules. That is the way it always seems to be.

Like I said, I don't know.

:p

There is something else going on here, that we do not see. At least I know I do not see it.

As of this moment, the Chinese are willing to sacrifice the CAI (which would be very minor as they would revert to the old deals), and the Chinese seem willing to sacrifice Huawei 5G business in much of Europe.

Note, that this may not happen, as this Sanctions War can blow away like a rain storm.

What the Chinese did was disproportionate. 10 politicians and 4 organizations! That was great! Probably more is coming, Chinese sanctions against America, UK and Canada.

The CCP is looking for a fight, and deliberately pushing the EU closer to America, for the moment at least.

Why?

That I do not see just yet.
Probably just good timing for a Chinese pushback. European economies have been the worst-performing of all major economies during COVID, with no end in sight given a projected third COVID wave in Europe. Can they really afford to duke it out with China over "human rights"? The EU has been fracturing already due to economic weakness these past years... and that was with decent trade relations with China.

Given that weakness, if the EU can't be deterred from interference on Chinese internal policy now, perhaps they never can be. The Chinese response matches their behavior from the past - they aggressively enforce red lines against perceived "salami-slicing" e.g. Ladakh. A weak Chinese reaction here against this political salami-slicing may invite further interference down the line.

I feel this does have logic. If others feel emboldened to attack you for "genocide," what can't they justify under such a powerful term? Certainly you'd have to go to war to stop a genocidal country? The Chinese seem to have decided that this genocide language, actions based on this type of language and logic, as unacceptable.

Yes, the EU is very weak right now. China can certainly try to push back more now than in the past.

EU is now basically kept afloat by the ECB printing Euros. Time for China to accelerate its digital Yuan plans, I dont think anyone wants to be paid in fake money.

The only economy "doing well" is Germany and I think even them are going for another lockdown now, RIP!
Let them play their games until the auto companies come and slap them to remind them that the China's sales are saving them at this moment

Don't buy Europe brands.
Lmao imagine losing the China's market to grandstand on "human rights" lol

Very encouraging sign that the Chinese people are so patriotic and activist enough to stop buying the western companies products

Hopefully more will continue so that the money made from China will go to Chinese hands and not ot foreign companies hostile to China's interests

Funny that H&M won't do business with 'forced labour' companies in Xinjiang, China. But have no issues selling their wares in the US, a country confirmed to operate prison labour. Not only that, the US has the largest incarceration rate per 100k people. Plus, a huge proportion of the incarcerated happens to be ethnic minorites like the Blacks and Hispanics.

But off course. For H&M, alleged forced labour in China deserves more action than real penal labour in the US. How 'consistent' of H&M.

If we wanna argue for the sake of fighting against forced labour. H&M have the right to be boycotted just for doing business in America. But H&M still wants to play the Xinjiang slander game with China. They deserved to be boycotted in China!
