If the US really insists on a new cold war, China should really start bringing up US human rights violations to the UNSC like the treatment of non whites, pogroms against asians etc.
What can the US offer except the threat of more sanctions which everyone knows is useless. When you put all your cards on the table, then there is no card to play anymore.

There will be no cold war, a cold war requires 2 sovereign countries. The US is a genocidal super-state, not sovereign in the moral sense, only de jure. Ultimately, I love Americans, by that I mean the original inhabitants of the Americas. The EDCA agreement is to circumvent the constitution , instead of a base you had a depot. VFA is to allow them to enter the country to operate those arms. In a way a huge benefit for the US, they don't have to spend an enormous amount of money maintaining and operating a base and if war do happen those depot will be attack since most of those are inside the Philippine military installation we will be force to war without our owned making.
