Feel bad thoughfor Nuland, I think she wasn't that bad to and for China. Campbell is a total China hawk so I think we all know whats coming in a few years.
China wanted to acquiesce, but Trump will keep pushing until China makes nothing more sophisticated than MAGA hats and the price to kneel is simply too high.

I think Victoria Nuland, her husband Robert Kagan and the rest of their family crew is pretty bad for Europe and Middle East though. China would be in a different state without the US adventurism in the Middle east and Ukraine in the past two decades.

There's a reason why for most of history, they were pretty much side characters. It's only with modern technology and western intervention they could finally have their own identity. But they see that slipping away as China manages to adopt modern technology even better than them. That's their real reason for hating China even more than USA itself. Because for them, it means their entire identity was short lived and now it's going back into the shadows like before.
It's not Trump. It's the entire American political class. China can only choose between slavery or resistance. Any Chinese advocating self-enslavement should be executed.
More like they wouldn't mind talks if they were rational enough.
But what Trump wanted/demanded were way over the top, and while sure, he wanted to make a card out of nothing (unreasonable demands that he could then walk back from), but China clearly didn't want any of that.
So we got trade war.
Do most Filipinos look like Bongbong Marcos? To me, he looks like a southern Chinese person, but darker.
The area I grew up in didn't have many Vietnamese people, and I remember being surprised to find out that they look pretty similar to Taiwanese and other southern Chinese people. I wonder if this is the case with Filipino people too.
Quite frankly I am appalled by how many kneelers there are. It was only through the stupidity of enemy that China made the right call. This stupidity cannot be relied on. China should make good choice independent of enemy being stupid.
