Some poor people hate to see other poor people do well. I suspect this is what's happening here with @Africablack. They are like toxic 'friends' that try to secretly sabotage or talk-down their successful friend. They try to talk about how much the successful person 'owes' them from random small past stuff, or make out new positive changes as bad things.

It's a huge trend in poorer communities / families in the US, where newly affluent folks feel forced to move out of the ghetto and cut ties.
President Tinubu initiated this because of his interests; he wants to curry favor with the west because they have a thick dossier on him and he doesn't want to encourage would be coup plotters at home. His decision was not popular AT ALL in every part of Nigeria. Northern Nigerians see Nigeriens and Chadians as brothers, in fact they are because they are from the same ethnic groups, Southern Nigerians thought it was ill advised starting a war when there are economic issues to deal with. Tinubu started realizing how unpopular this was and decided to save face by asking the National Assembly (since when does the National Assembly give permission), they shot it down and nothing happened. It had nothing to do with the French, France has zero influence in English speaking Africa. However, they were influencing Cote d'Ivoire, which is why President Ouattara was pushing Tinubu to go in. Personally, I supported the decision because I'm old enough to have lived through military rule and let me tell you something; it's not fun. While I sympathize with my French speaking brothers, I don't want Nigerian soldiers to get any ideas and fling the country back to the dark ages, people who have lived through the turmoil and and instability of military rule will take the worst democratic government, look at how the Turks reacted to the coup in 2016.

I know what China is, I've done business with the Chinese and I've been to China on more than one occasion (gets better every time I go). The Chinese will go to Africa and live with the locals, enter public transport and go to areas many Westerners won't. Westerners will go and live in estates with high fences and only mingle with the upper class. They make no bones about making top dollar doing managerial positions and look down on locals, even if the Chinese do it they don't show it. Where we stay back home we have Chinese living in our neighborhood and we often go get drinks together which is why I'm confused as to some of the arrogant statements about the weak serving the strong.
After reading this post, I must say that I was very rude to you and I must apologize for the things I said and the manner I expressed my thoughts to you. My apologies.

I can confirm. Had a friend who attended one of the days of trade show. He warned me that the Germans were not allowing Chinese folks or those with mainland Chinese names to go near their aircraft.

Not sure if the same thing happen for the public days, guess I'll find out soon in a few hours. Still I kind of expected the Americans to pull something like this, never the Germans.
I don't understand why people are reacting so strongly to this incident. I think it's a good thing because it makes me feel a bit less uncomfortable about Chinese companies gobbling up the market share of German companies

As things stand, the West is the enemy of China. Germany is part of the West, so it is no different. They are treating us like enemies, so the least we can do is return the favor.

I haven't been to the forum for a few days. So what happened?
Does it seem that someone is concerned about the uncertain future?
Are you afraid of not finding your place in a brand new future?
Respect is always mutual.Even though in your eyes Chinese people perform better than Western people, are you more afraid that Chinese people will become "arrogant"?
Do people like you have to make me feel that whips are more useful than friendliness?

We once hoped for a global revolution to destroy the imperialist order, but it turned out that our thinking was too simplistic. The social structure of third world countries (especially Africa) is very primitive, and they are too susceptible to external forces and have too strong dependence.
They often change their diplomatic stance arbitrarily due to not receiving enough benefits, or they may quickly undergo a coup due to promises from outside.

Only those who are not dependent on others are qualified to discuss the right to choose.A truly just world is built on the condition that everyone does not depend on others.
But you are not this kind of person. What you are worried about is something unrelated to your interests. Your concern about "making neighbors nervous "is entirely based on the interests of Westerners.
Any country has some border issues, but the West has put the world under tension, but do you think this is acceptable compared to an uncertain future?

There is a kind of secrecy to prevent others from knowing that they are lagging behind. I don't think Germany has better planes than us.

Doctors walkout to intensify as graduates refuse to join internships

A large-scale walkout by trainee doctors is expected to intensify as new medical school graduates reportedly refused to take internships, joining an ongoing protest against the South Korean government's plan to boost the number of medical students.

The move by medical school graduates is likely to pile pressure on the government as thousands of intern and resident doctors in major general hospitals have walked off the job for the sixth consecutive day in opposition to the government's plan to admit 2,000 more students to medical schools next year.

At Chonnam National University Hospital in Gwangju, 86 out of 101 graduates who were scheduled to commence their internships next month have resigned. About 20 intern candidates at Jeju National University Hospital refused to join internships.
