Another way of expressing my rant above, is that Taiwan under the DPP has adopted a brat strategy.

A brat strategy, behaving without seriousness like a brat, is not strategy.

Being a brat is an attitude.

That is why Biden said what he said. No, the United States does not support independence.

Now, we are all old enough and mature enough, to know that deep down, we cannot expect any attitude adjustments to this issue.

Just more trolling.

:D:oops::p

The US would just change the wording 180 in no time, so what Biden said "The United States does not support independence" means nothing ..... they could simply say we don't support it but won't stop it :rolleyes:

So the main thing is China has to be stronger every day and ready with the assumption that the US will intervene and go for a war (even highly unlikely)

One night stand technically doesn’t count as a relationship…

I kid, I kid. But I don’t see what the big fuss is about. Doesn’t this make him more politically reliable because he has literally fucked Taiwanese Independence at some point?

What was it about? Looks like it got deleted.

Taiwan is already independent.
They are de facto independent but not de jure (been since ROC army fled to the island).

And being a de jure state/nation is pretty damn important (no real international recognition, not part of UN, China taking Taiwan, even military, is an internal matter, and legally not all different from taking out bandits that controls a mountain).

All in all, legal recognition is pretty darn important (think about legally owning a house, car etc. If you don't, you're basically a thief that the state can jail)
