The ones made in China will likely stay the same but globally over the next couple years. There is a good chance non-China based users could be paying a premium Apple tax for questionable quality on core components. 12-15% of global iPhones are supposedly made in India with expectations it will rise to 20-25% of global supply “over the coming year.”
75% is still the vast majority.
If Biden won with a 75% majority, no one would even talk about Trump

Back to iPhones, ~200 million are sold per year
Right now, Indian market for them is not even at 10 million per year. Samsung sells about 20 million (~#1 in the market). So 25% is ~50 million, which means very few will leave India (relatively speaking)

About ~47 million iPhones were sold in China last year. Very doubtful India is going to be reaching those levels within the next 3 years when considering all their competitors. Back in 2022, around ~232 million units were sold with 7% of the units coming from India. About ~6.5 million units were sold in India leaving about ~9.7 million units unaccounted for. Apple has been exporting a lot more made in India iPhones then just a few.

Is this a big part of the country that they want to separate from the Philippines?

FWIW, something I have noticed following the PRCs catch up/surpassing of the west and arguing with stranger online is that no matter how much evidence you throw at someone, if they don't want to believe in something they simply aren't going to believe in it. You could have reams of data, statements from credible public officials etc but if it doesn't fit their personal desires they simply will stick their fingers in their ears and deny it to hell.

I have realized that people hold beliefs for emotional rather than rationale reasons and telling someone that the US military isn't as powerful as they want to believe will get denied not because they are really stupid but they see the American hegemonic power as something personal to them and their self esteem; it relates to a hardwired love of tribe. Next time you argue with someone who is simply denying basic observations like the rapid erosion of the US military advantage and the fact that Chinas economy is now larger remember you aren't arguing against a fact in their mind but something that is deeply personal to them and affects their psychological wellbeing.

Americans are especially susceptible to empty platitudes since most of its short history was shaped by things like religious freedom, manifest destiny, the cold war, etc. It's all ultimately a thin veneer of an excuse to run around doing.

A splintered group from Abu Sayyaf militant who survived the Battle of Marawi in 2017. The main separatist group the MILF had sign a peace agreement with Duterte offering them an autonomous homeland for them to practice their Sharia law. Marawi is under their control so maybe there is an internal conflict going on within the organization cause many are close relatives and most of the Abu Sayyah fighters came from the MILF.

What bad timing to be losing a military helicopter with senior officers onboard.
I remember @MarKoz81 said something about starting a war in Latin America is ideal for China and Russia. I consider the suggestion crazy at the time because I don’t see which country would start one. Now he is proven prescient.

It may well be advantageous for China and Russia, especially Russian at the moment, considering that the US "is governed by morons". One of such morons is Kirby, he just slapped his own face by pretending that Russia has not achieved strategic victory in Ukraine.

Given NATO command of Ukraine during this war, every single Ukrainian death and maiming can be laid at the feet of incompetent armchair warriors of the pentagon who never faced action in a real war. Police action of murdering defenceless afghans is nothing compared to fighting Russians on Slavic lands.
Some of the commanders may well be fooled by their own arrogance. But they are useful idiots. They serve the the interest of the Military-Industry-Complex. For the MIC, the propose of the war is not victory. It's how long the war can last, no matter how many lives it will cost - the longer the war, the more profits for their coffers.

China let's its dissidents live long enough to vindicate China.
Unlike the leaders of June 4th, all the leaders of the Hong Kong riots were thrown under the bus by NED/CIA.

Who were the young faces of Hong Kong’s democracy movement and where are they now?

  • Agnes Chow’s pledge to never return to Hong Kong after fleeing overseas throws media spotlight back on young generation of pro-democracy figures
  • Reverse in political tides under national security law has seen some flee abroad, others in prison and a few drop out of public eye

Maybe it's not entitlement and hubris. Maybe it's symptoms of PTDS caused by her visit to China.
