I'm late to the party but I read up on the DPP failure.
Not that makes me respect KMT for getting into this mess but the fact no one got ousted means the DPP is also suffering from a competency issue like the KMT.
People were talking about how China being concerned Lai was more extreme than Tsai. But what's the point of being more extreme when you lack the competency of the person before you? Under Lai, the DPP has killed of a lot of its good will. They might not even survive the next election. I'm not sure what Lai is thinking but what's he's trying to do isn't going as planned.
One of the worst things to have at this time is the Aura of a loser. How are you going to convince Taiwan to split from China and get into a war if they don't have any faith in you? Maybe the DPP always was full of idiots but were lucky to have had a leader who was smart enough to keep her mouth shut. Unfortunately she's no longer there.

Quite the big loss, Lai can't even pull off a Yoon-style coup because I doubt he is able to command special forces units in ROCA the same way that Yoon could. And I rather doubt you could grow Bluebird and Black Bear into his personal SS.
But I really want to see him try because it will be hilarious.

I love how the DPP is salivating for a war with a power 100X bigger than them but at the same time they are creating irreparable divisions inside that island. Looks like they didn't learn from Chinese history, China was weak when was divided and strong when united. I guess that is the whole point of the DPP, deny their Chinese roots to satisfy their stooge masters in D.C. even if is against their own goals, lol.

I don't think that's a very good way to look at what the DPP does. Keep in mind that their main enemy isn't China. It's actually the KMT and they see the ROCA as a part of the KMT.
Another day, another classic example of western projection. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually building their own buildings with tofu this whole time. Come to think of it, I did smell a soybean like scent the last time I went to visit a new showhome...
