That's pretty nebulous. I would like a proper sample along with some concrete numbers. Again, the reality is that most people in China and the US do not live in HK and NYC respectively.
Can’t speak much about the USA but from what I saw of China and HK from my vacation there, you you get a 5 star dinner for the price if one normal meal in HK. In all honestly when I was in Da Liang, the price of breakfast is literally almost 25-30 RMB for enough food to feed a family of 5 while in HK I would need to spend at least 5 or even six times the amount and the quality is about even from my perspective. Heck even in Guangzhou, it may be a little bit more expensive than Da Lian by at least 1.5 to 2 times but the food there is the best out of the three places I have been to. The day that HK is the place of quality in terms of food has long past and from what I have eaten in terms of high quality food in Da Lian, is far better then anything I have had in HK as of recent (no seriously this is not a joke), even the Korean food I had in Da Lian is far more affordable then in HK, I even believe that the cost of a typical Korean BBQ in HK must be at least ten times that of Da Lian and one might be wondering why, I should have Korean food in Da Lian, well it’s because their is a sizeable amount of Korean and Japanese people living in Da Lian so authenticity in cuisine is about as authentic as it can get and I can almost testify that it is far superior to anything you would find in Australia which to my shock is still at least half the price of a typical meal in HK so if HK is this expensive and is yet still cheaper then in NYC, then I really have no interest in going there for food and an increased chance of losing my life to a local nut job.
Funny enough, from my recent travel to China, I honestly felt safer then ever and the security is quite tight but reasonable so really I can’t see China lagging in any way from the USA and if those tent cities in The USA are really real (given from the amount of TikTok and YouTube videos, they must been), then really it’s pointless to compare China and the U.S. because it now seems that China is basically what the USA wishes it could become because you cannot get any more advanced then China right now. Still China can improve but if Da Lian (a tier two city) is really that much more affordable then somewhere like HK and by extension NYC whilst providing much of the same things (I mean I was in hospital in Da Lian and I felt the doctors there are much more helpful (they did a blood test that literally had the results back in 45 min then in Australia it would take a few days which is good already) then back in Australia and they are already pretty good their already), then really, you can’t say that China isn’t doing well because from what I can see, China is pound for pound doing better then Australia in basic functions, which from what I can gather, Australia is better then the USA in general. So China has come a very long way which speaks volumes in regards to how great China really is
