First Jawan to die from high altitude exposure since the dubious Agnipath scheme was launched. Definitely not the first Jawan to die from the same thing in Indian Army history. The Jai Hinds like to claim that they have more experience than the PLA at high altitude warfare, but the Himalayan terrain just doesn't care. Jawans are not Bollywood super soldiers, Agnipath or not.
The PLA are not immune to the dangers of high altitude, but we don't hear them bragging about being better than country X at dealing with it. Instead, they like to talk about their medical infrastructure and training to deal with medical emergencies. I would argue that the PLA having the Tibetan Plateau to train in allows for a longer acclimatization period, hence increasing personnel safety. While for the Indian Army, its a rapid transition from low altitude to high altitude, thus a higher risk for altitude sickness.

No law abiding gun owner would be so reckless in "leaving" his firearm in his briefcase and forget about it. They should all know where exactly it's stored especially if they have children as they like to play Dora the Explorer. When I was traveling for work, I always end up searching through every pocket in my luggage as I pack to ensure I brought all the stuff I need especially for international destinations. This guy might have an excuse if he was traveling to see family in the next city over like Olympia, as he might have accidentally grabbed his bugout bag and stuffed some things in as he left, but traveling to Hong Kong from Seattle?

They need Chinese money and investment since all western nations are forced to support the U.S. dollar in its inflationary state and the fact that Sri Lanka and China made a deal and never consulted the IMF should be a clear sign that the IMF is irrelevant.

Plus China could easily have units stationed there to be all Tibetan and maybe some sherpas tibetans (If I recall there was a regiment whithin the Tibetan army that continued to exist until 1970s in the PLA called the 9th 9th Mdav-Dpon Infantry Regiment). Because they would be suited for the terrain and are less likely to suffer from high altitude injuries.
