Poor pigs, having to deal with the filth and risk getting zoonotic diseases spread to them.

Pigs in the wild and when given freedom are the cleanest animal. They're only dirty when locked up in factory farms.

Given time and effort, synthetic meat might replace pork. Factory farming could then be downscaled, and remaining pigs that are farmed would be farmed more humanely, for the luxury meat market. That is, if we the common people can accept synthetic meats. I expect that it would still be difficult to market that in the current society.

Welp, it is an abusive relationship...

This new offensive by Hamas might actually be aimed at the Saudi Israeli talks. Whatever the Saudis might have been planning to do, any chance of a recognition of Israel is dead once they start bombing Gaza. If they stab the Palestinian resistance in the back, their own rule in Arabia will be threatened

If you put on the thinking cap, the catalyst for the whole mess is the Saudi-Iranian truth brokered by China earlier this year. The Chinese leadership are literally playing Go here -- the placing of a single strategic piece has made the Chinese position "alive" once again. Think about the relative cost the US has to spend due to that single move -- additional concessions to placate Saudi Arabia/UAE, military aid to Israel to combat the latest offensive, etc. Versus what it cost China -- an expensive dinner gala in Beijing. All that money and resource that could otherwise be used to contain China and stir up shit in East Asia must now be directed not only to Europe, but the Middle East.

This event may have unintentionally killed or seriously slowed down the Indian Middle East corridor plan lol.
