By your logic, what's wrong with Japan?

His logic leads to conclusion Japan is a dangerous country just like the USA based on these anecdotal incident. A suspicious and deceptive character.

You must be burning with glee that you guys will be getting American employees a.k.a. Refugees from Afghanistan into your country, all 50,000 of them. Marcos Jr. Is all talk nothing else. What a useless tool that guy has become. You guys could have just voted for that pink lady since it's all the same shit show anyway.

The US is once again using the Philippines as an American doormat (dust off American responsibility) now that Duterte is no longer president.

Your bias against China has clouded your thinking. The total homicide in China in 2020 is 7157. Total homicide in the US in 2020 is 21,570. China has always 4 times population than the US. And you claimed that the domestic violence incidents just don't happen as much in China than the US. The difference is huge. You needed to totally twist the facts in order to make such claim.

As for China is unique in this phenomenon, what are you talking about. Your hatred against China is just showing by making such ridiculous claim and trying to put China and the US in the same category which is absurd.

He specifically mentioned even with triple the population, and not counting gang-related violence, that violent incidents still occur much more frequently in the US.

Usually I can smell a troll within 1-2 posts. This one took about 5.

The trolls are getting more and more advanced.

There is an overwhelming trend on this forum of people liking to make comparison between China and US/Europe whenever anyone brings up any criticism. Anyone that points out any negative news is called a troll. Although there have been actual trolls that have posted on this forum between being banned, not everyone that points out criticism about China is a troll. This behavior is no different than the uneducated posters on Reddit/Quora that labels anyone as saying anything positive about China as a wumao or as being paid by the CCP.

A country gets great by identifying ways in which it can improve and address those areas, not by being comforted that other nations are doing a worse job in certain areas. Deflecting every criticism and constantly trying to come up with comparisons that paint their nation in a favorably light is what the Jai Hind types do.

When someone says something you don't agree with, it doesn't mean that they are a troll. I don't agree with many of the posts by this poster, but I don't think he is a troll.

China's policymakers know very well how they avoided the disaster of "shock therapy" in Russia: by maintaining sovereignty and utterly rejecting neoliberalism.

India should be kicked out of both BRICS and SCO.

criticism that's factually untrue is better known by the term "slander".

Putin wanted less NATO but ended up turning Baltic Sea into NATO lake among other things.
More Nato will be in Russia interest as it gives control to US of Europe and promote English language this will open the door for Indians to manage European firms and much in depth influence to Arabs, Hispanic, Indians and Jews. You cannot stop this demographic change.
I just cannot think this Mideast real estate and Gold market can exist without Indians and its global Indians hard currency and free flow of capital between Mideast and West that enable this wealth creation. People often miss this point.

Are mass casualty attacks caused by arson, knife, and car in China a cause for concern? Irrespective of whatever comparisons I made to America or Japan, or wherever, is it a public safety issue that warrants discussion and greater action from the government to address?

More frequent is an understatement. There simply is no comparison between the US and China when talking about mass shootings or killings. Don't try to excuse him. Read between the lines, not just what explicitly stated. After putting the US and China in the same level and category, then his true intention is stated by this statement which I have proven is completely false. I don't understand why you defend him.

"But guess what? It still happens with enough frequency to be a massive cause for concern. America and China are some of the only places in the world where such incidents happen with yearly frequency and in the context of Asia, China is unique in this phenomanon. Not even high pressure South Korea, Thailand with a similar development level, or poorer countries like Philippines and Cambodia has such a phenomanon. (Although if you can prove me wrong here go ahead)"

I don't care if he is a troll or not. What I care is his statement is true or not. Criticism doesn't give him the right to spill lies and twist facts.

Why are you so concerned about being inclusive and tolerant? What matters the most are facts not appearance of inclusive by giving people free pass of saying half-baked facts. From Reddit, Quora, to any MSM, comments, articles, and opinions are China is bad and evil regardless of any topics. SDF is only a few places that allowed to refute such lies but you think we should be more humble and tolerant in refuting lies and false statement because you think being objective means that you need to accept any criticism even if such criticism is trojan horse.

Great nation failed when its history is twisted, when facts are blurred, when truth is step aside in the name of harmony, when achievement and greatness are downplayed, when shortcomings and failures are exaggerated, when your citizens bend their knee thinking that your country and your people are inferior.

As a person who grow up in HK, I can state one simple fact. When fake criticism and twisted facts tell hundreds time, then it would become true. That's the exact what happened in HK. As many HKers kneel down against the Whites because they feel inferior but at the same time look down against mainland Chinese because they feel superior. Why, because so called objective criticism is an attempt to demonize Chinese race as an inferior race that the only savior is to learn and kneel down to the superior race of Anglo-Saxon.

That shock helped Russia much resilient and sophisticated society. smooth transition with western investment would have created a European model and fundamentally change the character of society.
This picture is promoting certain values.

is there a need for special security precautions beyond the norm based on the statistical damage they cause?

what is the opportunity cost of such special security precautions?

is there a better use of limited resources?

Canada is going to solve the problem of extreme poverty their own way.
A Final Solution, if you may.

Evidently, the national government is also aware of the threat posed by increasing violence, racism, and human trafficking to public safety and Chinese citizens in the US.
Official statement has been released:
“The United States has had a long-standing issue with gun violence and racism against Asians. Chinese nationals entering or leaving the United States are frequently subjected to invasive questioning and harassment by American authorities. U.S. officials have recently unfairly detained Chinese citizens, blamed China for the country's fentanyl issue, and lied about China's efforts to track down and recover stolen property and fugitives. There is a serious threat to the safety of Chinese citizens due to entrapment, prosecution and kidnapping that occurs across borders. Chinese embassies and consulates in the United States, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Consular Affairs Department, warn Chinese nationals living in the United States to be cautious about the local social security situation and to take extra precautions. Visitors to the United States on a short-term basis should be cautious in order to avoid becoming entrapped by the US. If you are in need of immediate help, please contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the United States.”
