Some of the stuff is cheap for a reason. The sub one dollar Chinese decorations I got were either crumpled during transport or had missing components. But since the price is so low to start with I opted not getting a refund.

The stuff above three dollars are much better quality wise. They also give coupons from time to time which is pretty good. I got a 15 dollar coupon that allowed me to buy a computer mouse, a mouse pad, a dozen pant hangers, around 100 zip ties, and an infrared thermometer for cooking.
拼多多 is also known as 拼夕夕 in China because of its amazingly low prices, but it also has serious quality issues! It's undeniably good stuff, and you'll need a pair of discerning eyes. To put it simply, don’t buy those ultra-low prices. When you find something you like from other websites, you can come to Pinduoduo and you may get an unexpected price. Also pay attention to the brand, well-known Chinese brands are generally of good quality. You get what you pay for, this saying has always been true. The above are just simple suggestions!

Interesting perspective from RT on why China views the COVID discrimination from the likes of Korea and Japan to be especially egregious:

Watching fellow Asians ape and behave as western minions must've been especially offensive to Zhongnanhai. I think it's possible that we may not see a South Korea or Japan in its present forms should the balloon go up.

So is temu like buying directly from the white label chinese manufacturer and bypasssing those pesky dropshippers?
Probably. I don't know how exactly Pin Duo Duo group-buy business model works. It may cut out lots of middle men. It gives small and medium enterprises (SME) more direct access to mass market. The shipping is typically around 2 weeks. So it definitely has some planning and logistic tricks from China to US.

. But if his comment,

is true then US might not be happy about that unless Japan uses the money to purchase more US arms.
Japan has to sell USD and buy back Japanese yen to defend yen's value. Yen is still in a free fall as far as I know.

Unlike other countries, both S Korea and Japan are U.S. military occupied U.S. colonies.

Too little too late?

The reason Japan and South Korea will work with the US is because China is "eating their lunch," so to speak.

I agree with everything you wrote, the entire post.

Just want to say one comment on the above quoted.

As long as I have been alive, the trend is clear. China also into eating their lunch, of America, in terms of loosening South Korea and Japan away from the clutches of their patron.

China and South Korea only established diplomatic relations in 1992. Twenty years later or so, China already their biggest trading partner.

China and Japan relations still has friction, but it has improved from 10-20 years ago. Before China would still regularly bash Japan over issue like shrine visits and territorial disputes. That has not be the case the past few years.

Lastly, the most important consideration, how can anyone be sure of how much trust South Korea and Japan has in their backer?

How do we know that?

We do not.

Game on!

:)

japan maybe they will go all the way with the americans, but south korea i don't think so, simply because north korea is there to check any south korea belligerence against China

Yeah but, the Americans were going all the way with Diem too.

The Americans are willing to screw over Europe, while Japan pretends not to notice.

Perfect.

What more can China ask for?

:p

so are the UAE and the Saudis and turkey, yet these nations exhibit more spine and political autonomy when dealing with the US. The slavishness of these Koreans and Japanese towards western nations and the harshness towards fellow Asians is very Indian of them.

Re Jackson Wang, are Western firms ready for when Chinese Zoomers grow up with memories of how the West behaved towards them during COVID? Small wonder western luxury companies are failing to Chinese companies in recent years.

This is like the fall of the Soviet Union. The web of lies and misinformation is slowly but surely unraveling before our very eyes.

Goes to show that it is not how you dress but how you act that truly makes a person.
