I’m convinced that there are some cultures who will forever be vassals and “sepoy states”. Korea was a loyal vassal of imperial China and may yet be so again. Japan, like Vietnam were recalcitrant vassals and wannabe Tang Dynasty states with Oedipal desires to destroy China. The height of this pathetic display was during the 2000s, when korean nationalists tried to claim all of Chinese inventions as their own, even going so far as to claim that Jesus was Korean.

There’s a scene in Shakespeare‘s Julius Caesar where it’s referred that Mark Antony
offered Caesar a crown in front of the Roman people, and Caesar refused, even when pressed and offered the crown repeatedly. Such displays compelled the Roman ppl to love Caesar and wanted him to take the Crown even more. Take from that what you will.
Yeah that scene stood out to me as I immediately thought: isn't this just the equivalent to Chinese 三揖三让? Even the context of new emperor during dynastical change is almost exactly the same.

Funny how similar humans can be across different time and location.

*Gives lectures on China to university students

*Teaches everything to be particularly and specifically smearing and defacing about China instead

No wonder the West has such fvcked-up views of China and the Chinese people.
Meanwhile China teaches people 100% brazen bullshit American history of Le persecuted, peaceful puritans(vanilla isis) from a single boat creating the United States and the mega genius Columbus discovering the Americas.

Why even bother, this is why I believe the Nationalistic tendencies of China is just completely overblown and not even half as strong as compared to its neighbours and U*ited S*ates.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said on Saturday he told Western powers that East Asia could be the next Ukraine, as he urged a united front on a rising China and bellicose North Korea.

Japan is proud to be the only Asian member of the G7 and Kishida has said that his response on Ukraine effectively internationalised Western-led opposition to Russia’s invasion.

In turn, Kishida said earlier in a speech in Washington, Japan needed to be able to rely on “allies and like-minded countries” on risks from China.

“China needs to make a strategic decision that it will abide by the established international rules and that it cannot and will not change the international order in ways that are contrary to these rules,” he said on Friday at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.

Kishida said Japan still saw itself as a “peace-loving” nation and would use the G7 to push for the eventual abolition of nuclear weapons. The world should “not make light of the history” in which no nuclear weapons had been used over the past 77 years, he added.
