He's been anti-west a lot longer than that. He was president when the Georgian war happened, Russia was far more aggressive then compared to the Ukraine crisis in 2014. Apparently it was Putin that stopped him from invading Tbilisi.

Ideologically he hasn't changed much. He's a free market capitalist and largely remains western liberal in political beliefs. He's just recognised that the western elites are force for evil rather than good, and being pro-western is tantamount to treason.
Russia almost lost all its influence in Africa under his presidency. For russia can't even vote against the west to protect its own ally.

MOSCOW — Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin on Tuesday delivered his most passionate critique to date of the Western intervention in Libya, underlining a rare open disagreement between him and his protégé, President Dmitri A. Medvedev.

Mr Medvedev said such comments could "lead to a clash of civilisations".
The UN resolution, which Russia abstained from voting on, authorised military action in Libya to protect civilians from pro-Gaddafi forces.
See what happened at the time? Putin was mad for Medvedev was selling Russia's ally to the west FOR FREE! If things keep going that way, nobody in Africa will ever try to be an ally of Russia within decades!

If not the west is stupid enough to make most - if not all - African countries decide to turn to the east, to Russia and China, Russia will suffer huge losses in diplomacy.

Have you ever heard of the France-Africa summit? Never? You know what happened then.

To involve diasporas and young French people, events wee also being organized in France.

The themes discussed included:

Vladimir Putin signed a decree on retaliatory measures to introduce a cap on Russian oil prices. According to the document, the supply of Russian oil and petroleum products to foreign legal entities and individuals is prohibited if the contracts for these supplies provide for the introduction of a price cap. The decree will be valid from February 1 to July 1, 2023.

Medvedev would have lost Syria and the strategic naval facility at Tartus had he been president in 2014/15 when the rebels looked like they were going to win.
I also doubt he'd have had the balls to annex Crimea and back/instigate rebellion in the Donbass in response to the Western overthrow of the Russia friendly government.

Medvedev is a moron. Why is an ex-Russian President on western social media anyway? Medvedev is a liberal and a dumb one at that. Just slightly better than that drunk Yeltsin. He wanted so badly to be accepted by the West. I’ve got my problems with Putin for his soft approach on Ukraine, but Putin is far better than Medvedev.

He would be more dangerous in that unlike Putin, Medvedev comes off as unhinged at times, almost makes me feel like as though if he was in Charge and Russia ends up beating the west (probably with nukes if he had his way), he would push for a man hunt on any Anglo while Putin being more on the thoughtful side would much prefer to go after the ones responsible rather then a blanket genocide. Why the west would want to change Putin with an unhinged hardliner is beyond me because Putin isn’t a lunatic compared to Medvedev, Putin seems to go out of his way to give second chances where Medvedev will give none. During Medvedevs tenure, Russia seemed manageable to the west but with Putin at the helm, it seems that the west simply cannot pin him down no matter what is done and it is thanks to Putins pivot to nations like China that ensured that Russia wouldn’t fall so easily to the US’s playbook of the Cold War era. I have a feeling that if Putin does manage engineer the downfall of the current Hegemony, will go down in history as a hero, something that I can never see Medvedev achieving in this lifetime. I guess we will have to let this play out to see if Putin can do such a thing but then again, he isn’t dealing with the best in the west (sleepy joe and Harris are in no way true leaders at all and the uk is literally filled with retards) so it might not be impossible.

The Defense Department has for the first time allowed 700 recruits who had been diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder to join the military without a waiver under revamped rules that could be a pathway for those who have confronted mental-health or other developmental conditions.

US military is now recruiting people with ADHD. First batch of 700 raw recruits are here.

This first dedicated group of elite special forces will be the spearhead for the invasion of China.
