Kazakhstan can't be this dumb can they? Do they not realize how much they rely on Russia for trade? All of their infrastructure goes towards Russia except 1 border crossing with China.

jsut such an amazing scholar on IR. the only thing I disagree with him is that he seems to blindly believe the US will be able to maintain its military/economic/technological/political advantage over the long term. I think that's the result of his focus on IR but lacks regional domain expertise. I personally think in that case it's in the 25% wrong category.

They really are dumb. Russia can easily turn the the rest of CIS countries against them and divide there country. They will not have opportunity to escape to Turkey.
