U.S. eyes Biden, Xi meeting in next weeks, sees growing convergence on China

U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to speak in the next few weeks, U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on Monday, citing growing convergence among NATO and G7 members about the challenge China poses.

I wonder if China already agreed to this meeting or is this just Sullivan's fantasy.
A total waste of time for Xi.

"We're not looking to divide the world into rival blocs and make every country choose" he said. "We want to stand for a set of principles that are fair to everybody. And we want to ensure that we're working with like-minded partners to hold China accountable to adhere to those rules."

Just to point out more Japanese pitiful behavior, Kishida was the only national leader not positioned in the front row of this group photo. Not to mention his country is a member of the G7. The President of Senegal makes his country look more respectful than Japan.
Forget about Kishida, just loon at the pitiful and attention seeking Modi. He thought Macron was going to lather him up with attention but instead bypassed him and it appeared that Macron's precious hand shake was reserved for Kishida.

One workaround being used to mask the origin of Russian oil is paying in China's yuan rather than the US dollar, the standard currency for trade, sources told the newspaper. Alternatively, sellers will exchange Russian oil for goods like gold, food or weapons instead of a currency.

volumes have soared 1,067% since Russia began its war with Ukraine, though this is broadly seen as a sign of the allies strengthening ties to help weaken the influence of the US.

In June, India has bought 1 million barrels of Russian oil a day on average, compared with 30,000 in February, the WSJ noted, citing Kpler data. Those supplies are likely to be refined there, then sent as petrol and diesel elsewhere, to ultimately end up in Europe's gas stations, some analysts say.

It turned out GII was just a renamed B3W. They are bragging about launching a BRI alternative every year. Has anyone ever heard of them building a single road?
It's just empty words. They always have to announce something big at every G7, otherwise, people will start to notice what it actually is, a glorified photo op.

There's no way he can get Congress to legislate a $200 billion bill to invest in infrastructure to the developing world. He also can't force private businesses, either.
