One workaround being used to mask the origin of Russian oil is paying in China's yuan rather than the US dollar, the standard currency for trade, sources told the newspaper. Alternatively, sellers will exchange Russian oil for goods like gold, food or weapons instead of a currency.

volumes have soared 1,067% since Russia began its war with Ukraine, though this is broadly seen as a sign of the allies strengthening ties to help weaken the influence of the US.

In June, India has bought 1 million barrels of Russian oil a day on average, compared with 30,000 in February, the WSJ noted, citing Kpler data. Those supplies are likely to be refined there, then sent as petrol and diesel elsewhere, to ultimately end up in Europe's gas stations, some analysts say.

Holy shit!

Talk about the petro-Yuan!

Russia is a major oil producer. Everyone knows that. Now to get product they got to pay in Rubles or Yuan.

The part about the barter trade, that is a blast from the past. Haha!

:D

Sooo.... as the US military is kind of having a hard time to recruit people (various articles on this, also lots of advertisment for healthcare and education lol), they can now recruit more women with advertising that abortions would be legal if you were part of the US military lol?
You will get raped in the military, but at least you can abort it.

Still, there’s one crucial part of the city that is becoming less Chinese: the public.

Good luck to the 18-29 year olds who think they are Honorary Aryan or something (if they aren't Chinese)

Maybe they can make up their own heritage like those guys on Stormfront who find out great-great-granddaddy had a thing for the coloreds. Or the Taiwanese on reddit who are 99.7% sure they are part Japanese-Dutch and possibly aboriginal, but definitely not fully Chinese.

GG BASF. Hopefully SinoChem rises. SinoChem has a 45% stake in Pirelli which hopefully leads to China getting gud at tyre technology. South Korea has Hankook and Kumho, Japan has Bridgestone. China must be a leader in making tires. Although I understand the massive truck tyres are made by China.

Pirelli is celebrating its 150th birthday and I'm hoping to get a polo of that or it's tie in with Mont Blanc fountain pen which is actually made of rubbery texture.

Call it Jonggook Tire.
Give a lot of overly nationalistic Koreans a stroke.
Laugh at white people when they inevitably say "Chinese are copiers".

My gut feel is that while the EU politicians publicly support the US sanctions, out of fear and lack of backbones, they turn a blind eye to such activities out of an even greater fear of being kicked out of the government by angry voters facing high inflation and imminent economic/social collapse.

The article is making a news story out of what is obvious and predictable the moment central bank sanctions were used against Russia.

And title of the article with the word "hiding" makes a vain attempt to put a sinister, nefarious spin on what's essentially common and routine international banking and financial system operations. Because "Hiding" is purely a matter of perspective, RUB/CYN transactions between Russian oil producers and Chinese buyers are definitely not hidden from the Russian or Chinese central banks that handles the transactions, nor are they under any obligation to disclose these transactions to anyone not involved in the transactions or to US/NATO authorities.

It turned out GII was just a renamed B3W. They are bragging about launching a BRI alternative every year. Has anyone ever heard of them building a single road?
That's the only thing these folks are good at "marketing scheme." It's literally the same shtick they throtted out last year if am not mistaken but with a different name. Even the EU rolled out their own infrastructure plan to counter against China’s BRI plan in Africa. When what they should have been doing or done is to actually help or assist China in building African infrastructures so that African economic activity would blossom ensuring that African people stay within their own countries of origin preventing the unfortunate problems of mass migration that's resulting in death, discrimination, and political problems for European countries as a whole.

Instead of doing all of that, they want to hatch on a very losing proposition in trying to undermine the effort that's positive for their continents own political and socio-economic survival. So I could give a flying F..K if the EU disintegrate as a political project; they are nothing more than an extension of American Foreign policy. Their pretend independence is a joke.
