We have a golden chance to build a good and deeper bilateral relationship with the Russians but does not look good. When I read this I would pause with China as other country. Very dissapointing.

If it was a suicide bomber in a university, I'm not sure what you can do to prevent that. Have airport style checks for everyone entering and leaving the campus?

I do think Pakistan needs to sort out its security situation, no point in blaming Indians or Americans if terrorists can move so freely in your country. Its the 21st century and terrorists should not be able to operate so easily.
Fair point, but I wonder how did she managed to got in the campus with a explosive suicide vest, shouldn't there be checks in place for non-personnel or students going into the campus? Unless there's something bigger at play here, like the guards being affiliated with the terrorist group?

Plus, the dumb b word of a terrorist is apparently well off, and highly educated c word..

I would suggest for anyone of us to hold off our horses/assessment in terms of how China is going to deal their relationship with Russia going forward and what sort of mechanisms they're trying to cook up to ensure that China would not be adversely affected to the point that it could more than impair China's long term objectives for itself against western interests.

Russia shouldn't expect China to waste away whatever precarious advantage China has for Russia because that's just plain dumb.

What is not required here is not some emotional rah rah but rather a hard strategic look, planning on what can be realistically be achieved under stressful environment.

I read the article, and it seems like the statement by the leading Russian scientist isn't representative of the situation on the ground. After the initial paragraph about the Russian scientist's statement, everything after that is Chinese scientist not being told to stop working with Russia, the projects and scientific equipment both side engage and provide each other, and reasons as to why some scientist postponed their research like due to pandemic or their companies are afraid of the possibilities for sanctions.

Brother, currently individuals and companies are testing the waters and figuring out the risks, we'll definitely build deeper and stronger bilateral relationship with Russia in the long run, its pretty much CPC's stated goal, so lets not have these small hiccup dim our outlook for the future of the Russian-Chinese relationship.

If there's no history of suicide attacks at that university, I wouldn't be surprised if there were no checks at all. Even if there were, there would always be a soft target - chinese supermarkets, cultural buildings, etc. Terrorists would just shift their attention elsewhere.

The only solution is to deal with the terrorist groups directly instead of waiting for them to attack. If Pakistan needs motivation to take them out then threaten to suspend economic cooperation. Counterterrorism is much easier in the 21st century as terrorists have to use mobile phones, internet and other traceable technology. It'll also give clues as to which foreign intelligence agency is supporting them, if any. America, India and Russia to a lesser extent are the main suspects.

Gas flow via Yamal-Europe on border of Belarus and Poland down by 75% since April 21

The physical flow of Russian gas through the Kondratki station stopped on the night of April 26

MOSCOW, April 26. /TASS/. The flow of Russian gas through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline on the border of Belarus and Poland through the Kondratki gas measuring station as of April 25 fell by 75% compared to April 21, according to the data of the Polish gas pipeline network operator Gaz-System.
According to the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), the physical flow of Russian gas through the Kondratki station stopped on the night of April 26. At the same time, a similar situation was observed on the night of April 24.
Earlier, the Polish portal Onet reported citing unofficial data in government circles and the energy company PGNiG that Russia had suspended gas supplies to Poland under the Yamal contract. According to the portal, a crisis headquarters has been set up at the Ministry of Climate Affairs. Officially, the suspension of supplies is not reported, a notice of this should be received within a day.
The Polish portal stresses that the payment deadline for the upcoming month expired last Friday. Earlier, Polish Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure Piotr Naimski said that the Polish authorities did not intend to agree to Moscow’s demand to pay for Russian gas in rubles. He said that Poland was ready for the actions of the Russian side, suggesting the potential suspension of supplies.

So, they do not pay, and still want to receive gas? If I tried to do that with my provider they would close the taps. What did these people expect? Dumb Poles.

How can Russia suspend gas to Poland and not other countries? Are they just going to hope Poland won't steal gas being transitted to western Europe?

Doesn't surprise me Poland is happy to have the gas turned off. Western Europe will be a different story.

Poland stealing gas becomes downstream country's problems. If they want their gas allocation they will have to ask or force Poland. Gazprom doesn't control the foreign pipelines anymore thanks to Germany nationalizing them, so it literally stops being their problem the second that gas leaves the Russian border.
