A nuclear power CAN'T let a non-nuclear power invade one of its security partners. It would have zero credibility until its behavior visibly changes. China should go all in if Australia really attempts an invasion. It would be a huge bonus for China's reputation and ironically pro-peace position.

Chinese navy and bomber fleet should be able to hurt Australia a lot. 1000ish CJ-10/20 can cause a lot of pain to the ADF.
If Australia is going to carry out the operation, would they need to mass their troops and naval assets first, like Russia did for nearly 2 months with Ukraine? If so, could China station some of their warships and troops there, to do a stare-off in order to back them off?

@BoraTas Sir IF China is really interested in annoying Australia she need to armed Indonesia by selling Submarine and other offensive weapon. For me China will need to strengthen Indonesia both economically and militarily and let her deal with the Aussies , Australia is to far and strategically insignificant to threaten the Chinese.

I got a feeling Russia will be the one to arm Indonesia in the near future, instead of China. As of now, they don't trust China that much and it would China look like a hypocrite because they complained about militarization of South China Sea.

I'd say Indonesia would have no problems with discounted DF-21s and CJ-20s. Too low range for striking China but enough for Australia :) Why not? China is not an MTCR signatory and all bets should be off if Australia is intending to invade countries that will befriend China. The only problem I can think of is other ASEAN members. They may object to Indonesia having such missiles.

bro right now the ASEAN minus Singapore are neutral and are susceptible to a new world order and so are most of the Global South. Now we need to stick together and make our voice heard. The Collective West are desperate really desperate and their Bluff are being called and that make them weak.

Seems like a great opportunity to pull "nuclear umbrella" bs. A trick from the US playbook. Befriend a country close to your adversary, draft a mutual defense treaty, declare that you will nuke any country that will invade your new friend, then install a base. This is how the US put bases everywhere between 1945-1975.
I am not endorsing such a stance but if the Chinese intelligence concludes that Solomon Islands will be invaded, then I will support it. This Anglos invading anywhere they want bullshit needs to stop. I bet China's influence would increase if this happens. Countries should know that China will back them if the current hegemon or its allies try to punish them for their choices.
I wonder if this was the intention from the get go? Simultaneously gain 'ground' while pulling reverse uno on the "ukraine is a sovereign country' bs

@BoraTas Sir the reason why the SI agreement is being blown out of proportion by the Aussie, It's really insignificant and a vulgar joke of what we make of Australia so bare with me and It goes like this " I promise my Girlfriend a memorable experience Down Under"...lol

Kim looks more of an intimidating hitman.
It's all in the jacket, totally different vibe with a zhongshan suit

It's most likely just talk, AU wouldn't have the guts to actually do anything concrete, but need to talk the talk for domestic audiences.
Advisors to the leadership are not morons, and would know they would get their asses handed to them. This may precipitate some more overpriced arms deals / 'defence' agreements though
